Mark Hamill calls Romney a nonhuman “Thing”

Mark Hamill, then (l) and now (r)

Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker in the first three Star Wars movies, had gone over to the dark side.

Or maybe he always was on the dark side since he recently confessed that he’s a lifelong Democrat.

With a net worth of $6 million, the 60-year-old has-been actor is an Obama lover. Speaking to OnTheRedCarpet.com at Comic-Con in San Diego over the weekend, the abysmally uninformed and totally clueless Hamill compared the POS in the White House to the fictional Mexican hero Zorro!

Hamill said:

“I knew nothing about Mexican history or anything. But just the idea of a privileged person fighting for the underdog – there’s something very romantic about that. I guess it goes back to Robin Hood. People that are fighting for the middle class and for the Have-Nots. It’s something that we see even playing out in the presidential race.

“And if you don’t vote for Barack Obama, you’re insane. ‘Cause without him, I think the middle class will completely disappear. And you look at Romney and I’m sure he’s a nice guy, but I think he’s like The Thing - he only imitates human behavior. He’s not actually human himself.”

John Nolte of Breitbart’s Big Hollywood observes that “the real question about Mark Hamill is when did he become Charles Nelson Reilly? Yikes.”

Actually Nolte is being kind. Hamill wishes he looks like Charles Nelson Reilly. Someone once said that at 60, a man has the face he deserves. Here’s Hamill at this year’s Comic-Con, taken a couple of days ago:

Even factoring in the passage of years and his facial reconstruction surgery after his car accident between the first and second Star Wars movies, Hamill at 60 bears a remarkable resemblance to the debauched self-indulgent Jabba the Hut.
