Obama will pay your utility bills!

Too many Americans are just plain stupid — and greedy.

CBS Philly issued a warning on July 13, 2012, that THOUSANDS of people have reportedly been victimized in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and across the United States by a popular scam spreading through social media, text messaging, telephone, and US Mail.

The scam claims that “President Barack Obama is providing funding to help customers pay their utility bills.”

To “qualify,” all you have to do is provide personal information including your Social Security number, credit card number, and/or bank account number.

It turns out the scam had been going on for more than a month at least because I found this article on Business Insider about the scam, which was dated June 5, 2012:

Thousands of consumers in Miami are getting scammy phone calls saying President Obama plans to pay their utilities, according to Jacey Birch of Local News 10 in Miami.

As PSE&G energy company reports, the con artists tell consumers a federal grant will cover their energy bill for one time only.

The scammers then get the victim’s Social Security number, send a fake Federal Reserve routing number and have the victim enter his account number to receive the phony “credit.”

Scammers have been contacting consumers by email, social media and text as well.

JUST REMEMBER These people vote!!!

Don’t ever give out personal information like your Social Security number or your credit card number or your bank account number unless you had initiated the call!

Don’t miss this great business opportunity!

Despite our e-mail server’s spam filter, some slip through.

We all get spam e-mails about Viagra; growing your penis by up to FOUR inches!; a heart-breaking story about someone needing money for surgery; and winning million-dollar lotteries in the UK for which we’d never even bought a ticket.

Like you, I usually just delete them without even opening and reading the e-mail. But this one, sent to Fellowship of the Minds’ e-address, caught my eye:

Okay, I’m back.

Obama’s Super Pac Sent an Extremely Stupid Video to My Youtube Account

I just checked my Youtube account and found I had a message in my inbox from someone with the username ‘catarinanancy79 using the avatar of a young blond girl with ponytails.  In clicking the link to catarinanancy79, it took me to a Youtube page saying the account was suspended due to spamming, scamming and commercially deceptive content.    (NOTE: Within an hour of my posting this, Youtube removed the language saying the account was suspended due to “spam, scam & commercially deceptive content. ” Wish I had taken a screenshot!)

Here’s the message I got from this spamming, scamming deceiver:

HiThis video scares me: I can’t tell if it is true or not. But with 2012 already here, what is going to happen?I’m about to graduate, but the worlds sucks. It’s scary.Well, if you get a chance, watch it and let me know what you think. Ok?

At the website Priorities USA Action, I learned:

In my opinion, Priorities USA Action is “extremely” stupid!

Amnesty International Admins Get $1.4M Golden Parachute

Stephanie, my long-time liberal friend with a severe allergy against work, is my early-warning system for all up-and-coming notions and fads of the Left. Whatever her latest craze invariably turns out to be the Left’s next great wave.

Some 15 years ago, Stephanie suddenly got it into her head that she should start her own non-profit, “Goddess Garden.” (Stephanie is a wiccan witch, whose “religion” is Goddess worship.) She would get a plot of land, plant flowers in it, and get donors to finance the whole venture while she draws a handsome salary as founder and director.

I know, I know. You and I do the same thing. We call it a home garden. What silly suckers we are!

Stephanie’s Goddess Garden was my early-warning radar system about the equal-opportunity (both left and right) boondoggle called The NonProfit Charity. Alas, as this article about the famous human rights non-profit Amnesty International shows, in too many cases, profit greed is the prime motivator and the non-profit’s administrators and staff are the real beneficiaries of the charity of good-hearted donors. Research the charity organization before you part with your hard-earned dollars!

Amnesty International top anti-poverty officials resign and pocket £ 850.000

MercoPress . Feb 23, 2011

Amnesty International paid its outgoing secretary general and deputy secretary general a total of about £850,000 [US $1,367,672] in the year that both women resigned, the organization’s accounts show.

The UK-based organization, which is not a charity but has an associated charitable arm, the Amnesty International UK Section Charitable Trust, said it has taken measures to ensure it never makes similar payments again.

Irene Khan

Irene Khan, who served as secretary general until December 2009, received more than £530,000 [$852,783]– more than four times her previous salary – according to the most recent accounts of Amnesty International Ltd. Her deputy, Kate Gilmore, who also left in December 2009, received more than £320,000 [$514,888], the accounts show.

Peter Pack, chair of Amnesty International’s international executive committee, declined to comment on the nature of the agreements, but said in a statement: “Before committing to the agreement we signed with Ms Khan, we considered it very carefully and were convinced that it was in the best interest of Amnesty’s work. The payment itself is made up of several elements, some of which dated back several years. This was a unique situation. None of the current employees, including the new secretary general, are on the terms that applied to Ms Khan. The new secretary general, with the full support of the international executive committee, has initiated a process to review our employment policies and procedures to ensure that such a situation does not happen again.”

As the first woman, Asian and Muslim to head the organisation, she spent eight years in charge of Amnesty’s operations, acting as its chief political adviser and strategist, chief spokeswoman and the chief executive officer of the international secretariat….

The Grandma-Fostermom Welfare Scam

This letter was sent to Rush Limbaugh by a medical doctor in Danville, Illinois. It’s been authenticated by TruthOrFiction.

No wonder America is broke.

H/t my friend Bob W.

~Eowyn

Dear Mr. Limbaugh,

I was speaking to an emergency room physician this morning. He told me that a woman in her 20′s came to the ER with her 8th pregnancy. She stated “my momma told me that I am the breadwinner for the family.” He asked her to explain. She said that she can make babies and babies get money for the family.

The scam goes like this: The grandma calls the Department of Child and Family Services and states that the unemployed daughter is not capable of caring for these children. DCFS agrees and states that the child or children will need to go to foster care. The grandma then volunteers to be the foster parent, and thus receives a check for $1500 per child per month in Illinois. Total yearly income: $144,000 tax-free, not to mention free healthcare (Medicaid) plus a monthly “Linx” card entitling her to free groceries, etc, and a voucher for 250 free cell phone minutes per month. This does not even include Wick and other welfare programs. Indeed, grandma was correct in that her fertile daughter is the “breadwinner” in the family.

I hope you share this story with your listeners so that they know how the ruling class spends their tax dollars.

Also, many thanks for the fine service you provide in educating people about the merits of conservative thinking.

Cheers,
