Limp-wristed girly-man that apparently has Rep. Boehner by the proverbial short hairs
And would somebody please remind me just why, exactly, we even need a republican party, given that the repube “leadership” jackasses have now rid themselves of their elephant suits?
The court’s ruling comes as a major defeat for those who have been fighting the healthcare overhaul well before President Obama signed it into law in 2010. The bill was not dismantled entirely and its expansion of Medicaid, although now limited, still stands. This means roughly 30 millions of uninsured low-income Americans are still eligible for coverage through the bill’s expansion of the state-run entitlement program.
“The bottom line: the entire ACA [Affordable Care Act] is upheld, with the exception that the federal government‘s power to terminate states’ Medicaid funds is narrowly read,” SCOTUS Blog reports.
After hearing oral arguments on the constitutionality of the bill in March, the Supreme Court Justices focused on these four points:
Whether the “individual” mandate is constitutional
Whether SCOTUS has the authority to rule on a tax law even though it hasn’t come into effect
If the individual mandate is overturned, will it be cut from the rest of the law as a separate entity or will other provisions fall with it?
Whether the law’s Medicaid expansion is constitutional
Of the four points discussed, the Supreme Court ruled that, as a tax, the individual mandate is constitutional.
* Liberals don’t understand THE DEBT CEILING * NO ONE understands THE DEBT CEILING SO – Allow me to explain… Let’s say you come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in your neighborhood. Your home has sewage all the way up to your ceilings. What do you think you should do? Raise the ceilings or pump out the Crap? Your choice is coming in November. Don’t miss the opportunity.
If those interviews by DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, where she does nothing but spew talking points and condescending quips, annoy you, then you will likely jump for joy over what you’re about to hear.
Considering that, he did the opposite of a fluff interview and did the impossible: he left the snarky Wasserman Schultz nearly speechless. Sure, she was able to fall back on to some talking points (demonizing the rich, blaming Republicans), but by the end, she tapped out.
“It’s a common enough sentiment around town, even among Democrats, but a pretty startling turn given the early pro-Antonio leaning of the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Kit Rachlis,” LAObserved wrote at the time.
And yes, LA Weekly has dubbed him the “11 percent” mayor for his lack of time spent in LA. Here’s how the Weekly responded when Villaraigosa was picked as the new head of the conference of mayors.
“So the 11 percent mayor will now have even less time in his busy schedule of flying around the world, holding press conferences, and cutting ribbons to do any real work for Angelenos,” it said. But it didn’t stop there: “Wonder what Villaraigosa plans for the conference’s future? Lessons in how to write a city budget by obscuring important facts and figures.”
Just goes to show that when you hit a liberal with an unending stream of facts they will fold up like a cheap suit, in Schultz’s case it’s a cheap pantsuit.
Why should any candidate drop out at this point? There’s still plenty of delegates up for grabs. ~LTG

On Monday, the Ranking Republican of the Senate Budget Committee Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and the Chairman of the House Budget Committee Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) released a joint statement blasting Democrats for their budgetary inaction and contrasting it with Republican efforts:
Senate Democrats abandoned their official duty to prioritize Americans’ hard-earned tax dollars and tackle our nation’s most pressing economic challenges—dealing a painful blow to fiscal progress that may be felt for some time. This contrasts sharply with the record of the House Republicans. Last spring, the new House Majority publicly produced a budget plan before the nation, brought it forward in committee, and passed it on the floor. The budget’s principled solutions honestly confront our nation’s most difficult challenges, putting the budget on a path to balance and the country on a path to prosperity.
To mark the inauspicious 1,000-day anniversary, the Heritage Foundation released a series of budget facts and urged the Senate to meet its Constitution requirements for fiscal stewardship:
RESOLVED, that upon the approval of this resolution the Republican National Committee shall deliver a copy of this resolution to each of the Republican members of Congress, all Republican candidates for Congress, all Republican candidates for President who qualify for RNC sanctioned debates, and to each Republican state and territorial party office.

Of course, we of the sheeple pursuasion are supposed to completely ignore the fact that this Kenyan Muslim commie fraud is on a pace to add $5 trillion to our accumulated national debt by the end of his first (and hopefully only) term.
Obama to ask for increase to debt ceiling in a ‘matter of days’
By Amie Parnes – 01/10/12 04:27 PM ET
The Obama administration will be asking Congress to raise the debt limit in the coming days, White House press secretary Jay Carney said on Tuesday.
“I’m confident it will be executed in a matter of days, not weeks,” he told reporters.
The notification by the administration — which had been scheduled for last month — was delayed because Congress has been holding only pro forma sessions.
The White House will be asking Congress to raise the U.S. borrowing limit by $1.2 trillion. The move would mark the third and final increase from the debt-ceiling deal reached last year by Congress.
The United States reached the $15.194 trillion debt limit on Jan. 4, according to Treasury statements.
Since that time, Treasury has employed the “extraordinary measure” of tapping into its Exchange Stabilization Fund in order to avoid exceeding the limit.

I wonder how long it will take Bonehead & Co. to cave like a $5 tent?
I am guessing all of about five minutes – if even that long.
