America increasingly is multi-cultural, but Christians still make up the majority of Americans, at 76% to 80%. Non-Christian religions (including Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, Hindu etc.), collectively make up only about 5% of the adult population. [Source: Wikipedia]
Not so in Dearborn, Michigan.
According to the 2010 Census, 40,929 or 41.7% of the population of Dearborn, Michigan, are of Arab-Muslim ancestry (categorized as “White” in Census collection data). Their numbers had grown in 10 years from the 30,000 or 33.4% of the city’s population in 2000. Dearborn has the largest proportion of Arab Americans for a city of its size (about 100,000). Dearborn is also the location of the Islamic Center of America, the largest mosque in North America. [Source: Wikipedia]
Although Muslims comprise less than 1% of the U.S. population in 2011, due to immigration patterns and Muslims’ comparatively higher birth rates, the number of Muslims in America will rapidly increase from 2.6 million to 6.2 million by 2030. [Source: USA Today]
If Dearborn is any indication, that bodes ill for America’s Christians.
At the recent 2012 Dearborn Arab Festival, a big mob of American Muslims attacked Christians while the useless police simply stood by watching.
The video below begins with a brief segment on Obama campaigning in Dearborn on April 18, 2012 (note how he emphasizes his middle name “Hussein” to the cheering supporters, at the 0:40 mark), followed by what happened at the Arab Festival.
First, a policeman tells a proselytizing Christian man that it’s against the law to use a megaphone, although it sure wasn’t illegal just a year ago. Then, the Christian man tells the cop Muslims had thrown water bottles at them. At the 2:29 mark, an Arabic-looking young woman screams at the camera: “Go Home!” She’s an immigrant but tells Christian Americans to go home. Too funny.
Next, a mob of 50-100 young Muslims start throwing eggs, bottles, cans, pieces of concrete, even a milk crate (not carton, but a crate!) at the small knot of Christians, while shouting obscenities (“f*cking p*ssies”) and chanting “Allahu Akbar.”
All this mayhem was happening, but the Dearborn police just stood by, watching.
However, two years ago at the same Arab festival on June 19, 2010, the Dearborn police acted with lightning speed, arresting four Christian missionaries who were peacefully distributing copies of the Gospel of John outside the entrance to the festival, which is fully within our Constitutional rights as U.S. citizens. Within a matter of three minutes, eight Dearborn police officers surrounded the Christians, ordered them to cease and desist, and then arrested the missionaries.
