Judge warns families of couple murdered during black-on-white carjacking, kidnapping

Family members of two torture-slaying victims say they are sustaining another slight at the hands of the judicial system – which already has forced them to endure retrials of those accused in the case.

This time, the judge in the trial of one of the suspects in the deaths of Chris Newsom, 23, and Channon Christian, 21, has told their family members not to wear buttons they created honoring their lost loved ones if they sit at the front of the courtroom where George Thomas now is on trial for the deaths.

WND was among the first to report on the case that has garnered attention for the horrific black-on-white violence that destroyed the lives of the two people who had been dating just a short time. Investigators say Christian and Newsom were on a Jan. 6, 2007, date and were in the process of leaving a friend’s apartment complex.

Christian reportedly was sitting at the wheel of her Toyota SUV and Newsom was at her side in the open door, kissing her, when they were attacked by the armed gang members.

According to court documents, the two were tied up, blindfolded and taken to one defendant’s rental home. Shortly thereafter, Newsom was sexually assaulted, shot in the head, set on fire and his body was left beside railroad tracks. The attackers allegedly took 24 hours to kill Christian, raping her multiple times and spraying bleach in her mouth to destroy evidence before stuffing her in plastic and dumping her in a closed trash can.

The Knox News reported two years ago after the first round of trials in which the suspects were found guilty that new trials would have to be held because the judge was presiding over the cases “while trysting in his office, cutting drug deals with felons on a taxpayer-funded cell phone and snorting pain pills with a former drug court probationer.”

So the court hearings were restarted, and now Senior Judge Walter Kurtz, hearing the evidence against suspect George Thomas, said family members may wear photo buttons they created to honor their loved ones – but they then must sit several rows back from the front bench in the courtroom.

Christian’s father, Gary Christian, said he no longer will sit in an area of the courtroom near where the defendant and his attorneys sit in the Knoxville, Tenn., courtroom.

The trial for Thomas may be the end of the case. Alleged co-conspirator Vanessa Coleman also had been granted a new trial because of the earlier judge’s actions, and was convicted in a second trial and sentenced to 35 years.

Earlier convictions for Lemaricus Davidson and Letalvis Cobbins stood because of the physical evidence that linked them to the crimes.

Defendant No. 5, Eric DeWayne Boyd was found guilty of being an accessory and sentenced to 18 years.

Davidson was given the death penalty. Cobbins was given life in prison, the sentence for Thomas before a new trial was ordered.

Judge Richard Baumgartner, the judge whose misbehavior sparked the retrials, later pleaded guilty to official misconduct and resigned.

The attack happened when such black-on-white violence was just starting to gain attention, and grabbed the headlines because of the extreme violence involved.

The brutalized bodies of the victims showed evidence that the attackers had tried to destroy DNA evidence by dousing Christian with bleach and Newsom’s body was burned beyond recognition.

The suspects were arrested within a few days of the attack in the Knoxville and Lebanon areas.

Prosecutors have explained the suspects carjacked the couple and decided to get rid of Newsom before pursuing their sexual attack on Christian.

Comments posted on a variety of websites by the public showed the level of disgust that developed. One writer said a lethal injection would be too good, and “a public quartering would send a message to other dirt bags that society will not tolerate such atrocities.”

Attorneys for the defendants actually tried to have such comments censored.

Remember all the gloating and exhalting Planned Parenthood Prima Donas who Headlined Obama’s 2012 Democratic Convention in Charlotte last August?

Here’s a  quote from Margaret Sanger, the founding mother of Planned Parenthood:

They are excellent means of meeting a certain phase of the situation, but I believe in regard to these, as in regard to other eugenic means, that they do not go to the bottom of the matter. Neither the mating of healthy couples nor the sterilization of certain recognized types of the unfit touches the great problem of unlimited reproduction of those whose housing, clothing, and food are all inadequate to physical and mental health. These measures do not touch those great masses, who through economic pressure populate the slums and there produce in their helplessness other helpless, diseased and incompetent masses, who overwhelm all that eugenics can do among those whose economic condition is better.

STUDENTS TAUGHT: IT’S UNFAIR TO BE WHITE

Despite the longstanding message that a person’s skin color should not matter in America, students at the University of Wisconsin – Superior are now being taught that it’s “unfair” to be white.

It’s part of a controversial effort known as the Unfair Campaign, designed to teach America’s youth that “systems and institutions are set up for us [whites]” and as such are “unfair.”

One of them main slogans for the campaign is: “It’s hard to see racism when you’re white.”

CampusReform reports the campaign was initially sponsored by the University of Minnesota – Duluth, but after an investigation by conducted by CampusReform, that college dropped its partnership, and labeled the program “divisive” and “alienating.”

The Unfair Campaign uses online videos, billboards and lectures to help promote its message, and a variety of posters features white-skinned people adorned with facial messages such as “”is white skin really a fair skin?”

Schools beat the drum for equity

Portland Tribune: Verenice Gutierrez picks up on the subtle language of racism every day.

Take the peanut butter sandwich, a seemingly innocent example a teacher used in a lesson last school year. “What about Somali or Hispanic students, who might not eat sandwiches?” says Gutierrez, principal at Harvey Scott K-8 School, a diverse school of 500 students in Northeast Portland’s Cully neighborhood.

“Another way would be to say: ‘Americans eat peanut butter and jelly, do you have anything like that?’ Let them tell you. Maybe they eat torta. Or pita.”

Guitierrez, along with all of Portland Public Schools’ principals, will start the new school year off this week by drilling in on the language of “Courageous Conversations,” the district-wide equity training being implemented in every building in phases during the past few years.

Through intensive staff trainings, frequent staff meetings, classroom observations and other initiatives, the premise is that if educators can understand their own “white privilege,” then they can change their teaching practices to boost minority students’ performance.

Last Wednesday, the first day of the school year for staff, for example, the first item of business for teachers at Scott School was to have a Courageous Conversation — to examine a news article and discuss the “white privilege” it conveys.

Most of the staff are on board, but there is some opposition to a drum class being offered to middle school boys of color at Scott School. Fifty percent of the students at Scott are Hispanic; another 15 percent are black and 9 percent are Asian. Eighty-five percent are eligible for free or reduced-price meals.

Chuck Barber, who also offers boys’ drum corps at Vernon and Faubion schools in Northeast Portland, approached Gutierrez last year to start up a lunch-time drum class for black and Latino boys once a week. This year, it’ll expand to two classes a week, to accommodate new boys as well as those with experience.

At least one parent has a problem with the class, saying it amounts to “blatant discrimination and equity of women, Asians, whites and Native Americans. This ‘club’ was approved by the administration, and any girls who complained were brushed off and it was not addressed,” the parent wrote anonymously.

Gutierrez denies that any students were turned away from the drum corps, and vehemently rejects any suggestion that it is discrimination to offer a club catering to minority boys.

“When white people do it, it is not a problem, but if it’s for kids of color, then it’s a problem?” says Gutierrez, 40, an El Paso, Texas, native whose parents were Mexican immigrants. “Break it down for me. That’s your white privilege, and your whiteness.”

Like many if not all of PPS’ leaders, Gutierrez has gone through California-based consultant Glenn Singleton’s “Coaching for Educational Equity,” a weeklong seminar on race and how it affects life; she’s also become an “affiliate,” certified to teach the equity curriculum; and she serves on the district’s administrative committee to address systematic racism, a group that meets every other week.“Our focus school and our Superintendent’s mandate that we improve education for students of color, particularly Black and Brown boys, will provide us with many opportunities to use the protocols of Courageous Conversations in data teams, team meetings, staff meetings, and conversations amongst one another,” Guitierrez’ letter to staff reads.

Equity training aside, Scott School must teach the same number of students with fewer teachers and resources. Down five full-time positions this year, including two reading specialists, Gutierrez is trying desperately do more with less.“My first year as principal, I looked at the data and found that the eighth-graders that year, a third of them were going to Madison (High School) at about a third-grade level,” she told the Tribune. “I said, ‘This is completely unacceptable.’ “That led to her adopting what she calls the school’s “Big Hairy Audacious Goal”: that every student will make two years’ growth in one year’s time in reading, writing and math. Last year, teachers set out to tackle that goal, meeting in teams to look at data and coming up with creative ways to target their instruction.“We want to teach them to be critical thinkers,” Gutierrez says.The results, by the end of the year, were promising, she says. The biggest achievement was among the kindergarteners: All but three of the 63 students met their benchmarks at the end of the year.

Among the other grades, there was “tremendous growth in pockets,” she says. “Now we need to make it happen school wide.”Despite that year of work, Oregon’s Department of Education just last month identified Scott as a “focus school,” one that performs among the state’s lowest 15 percent.

Harvey Scott’s website says, “Focus is placed on achievement in reading, writing, science and mathematics for all children”.  Better add “critical race theory” to that list.

Janeane Garofalo’s ‘Racist Dogwhistle’ Tells Us Herman Cain Doesn’t Have a Mind of His Own

Thanks to Barack Obama’s failed presidency, the desperate Left is left with nothing to defend and can only personally destroy, and so they’ve created a world where the words “basketball,” “clouds” and “food stamps” are all racist. The only thing that’s not racist, however, is actual racism, especially when that racism is directed at a Black Republican.

Case in point: The Miserable Janeane Garofalo:

Garofalo also said successful businessman Herman Cain is either being paid to run or is suffering from Stockholm syndrome because he is a “person of color” running as a Republican in the party’s presidential primary.

“[He's] in this presidential race because he deflects the racism that is inherent in the Republican party, the conservative movement, the Tea Party certainly. [In] the last 30 years the Republican party has been moving more and more to the right, but also race-baiting more. Gay-baiting more. Religion-baiting more,” Garofalo said.

“But, Herman Cain, I feel like, is being paid by somebody to be involved and to run for president so that you go like ‘I love that, that can’t be racist. He’s a black guy, a black guy asking for Obama being impeached.’ Or ‘it’s a black guy whose anti-Muslim. It’s a black guy who is a Tea Party guy.’”

TUSD School Board Meeting Confronted Over Radical Curriculum

 During the 5/10/11 TUSD Board meeting “call to the audience,” passages were read from a book used in the Mexican-American Studies (MAS) courses. The title is also listed as “civil rights” material for TUSD’s third graders. The book is Message to Aztlan: Selected writings of Rodolfo “Corky” Gonzales (2001) [2]

On Thursday, the organization ColorOfChange launched a Twitter-based campaign to persuade black “Celebrity Apprentice” cast members Star Jones and Lil Jon to denounce Trump for what the group terms “race-baiting.”

I am so sick of these racist so-called civil rights groups “bullying” people with “race”. It is an indisputable fact that the liberal mainstream media exempted presidential candidate Barack Hussein Obama from the usual vetting process of one seeking to be elected Leader of the Free World. Obama’s skin color trumped everything.

Thus, for the first time in U.S. history, we have a president who can not be criticized in any way. “Hear ye, hear ye, all who dare criticize King Obama is automatically guilty of racism and will suffer the consequences!” This is totally absurd and insane.

Obama has been in the Oval Office for two years. Black “race pimps” continue to despicably, without reservation, drive a wedge into the heart of national race relations. Whenever these black race pimps, including the Obama administration, find themselves on the losing end of an argument, they turn it into a racial issue branding the opposition racist.

President Obama would not have responded to Trump’s request for him to present his birth certificate unless he felt he had to do it. Obviously, polling data must have confirmed that millions of Americans felt Trump’s request was reasonable.

In response to the uppity white boy, who dared question their king, a few black celebrities and black bullies to “stop it and get a life”?

If we are ever to move forward as a nation, we must call out race pimps of all colors.

We do not tolerate “white” skinheads. Nor, should we tolerate “black” racists.

Incredibly, black race pimps feel their racism is OK. It is as if they view America’s original sin of slavery as their, “Right to be Racist For Free” card. Using race to bully people into submitting to an agenda is racist; pure and simple.

I watched a black intellectual on TV shilling for Obama. He used a plethora of big words to cover the simple school yard truth that he was a black bully racist, committed to Obama no matter what. Sounding extremely intelligent, the black racist was spouting lies and illogical stupid conclusions. But man, did he sound “smart”.

Liberals do this all the time. They have a basic emotion driven dislike for America and all of the traditions and values which have made is great. They hide their disdain for America under a shroud of intellectual mumbo-jumbo; spouting crazy stupid nonsense which sounds above our ability to understand. I call it, “Intellectual Stupid Speak”.

My fellow Americans, racism is ugly and evil. Most Americans agree and reject it. So, when I see black race pimps like the ColorOfChange using race to bully people, it turns my stomach.

And, something else that truly annoys me. The black community is not a tribe with chiefs dictating our monolithic opinion. I ask that these disgusting race baiting organizations please stop running around proclaiming they speak for “the black community”. I am black. They do not speak for me.

As long as the Good Lord gives me strength, I will call out hate inspiring race dividers. God Bless.
