Did you know your kids don’t belong to you?

First it was Hillary Clinton who lectured to us about how “it takes a village to raise a child.”

Now, MSNBC host and professor of political science at Tulane University Melissa Harris-Perry goes one step further. Not only does it take a village to raise a child, your child belongs to the village and not to you!

Now read what you just heard her say, and let the words sink in:

We have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents or kids belong to their families and recognize that kids belong to whole communities.  Once it’s everyone’s responsibility, and not just the household’s, then we start making better investments.

Don’t be fooled by her use of the warm-and-fuzzy word “community.” What she really means is “the state.”

Think about it: If your kids don’t belong to you but to “the community,” who will make the decisions (“better investments”) concerning your kids’ food, clothing, schooling, religion, entertainment, and socialization?

Will “the community” do that? How? Through voting in a communal meeting?

That would be cumbersome, time-consuming, unwieldy, and impractical.

So, in practice, it would be some governing body of “the community” that’ll make all those decisions concerning your kids.

The state!

In short, Melissa Harris-Perry is a COMMUNIST. What she is proposing is COMMUNISM.

That sure worked out well in Maoist China’s Great Commune Movement of the late 1950s, and in the 3-year nightmare called the Khmer Rouge’s Kampuchea….

By the way, this is the same sulphurous Melissa Harris-Perry who, on July 4, 2012, said: “The land on which [the Founders] formed the Union was stolen. The hands with which they built this nation were enslaved. The women who birthed the citizens of the nation are second class. This is the imperfect fabric of our nation. . . It’s ours, all of it. The imperialism, the genocide, the slavery.”

Project Veritas “Outs” the Anti-Gun Newspaper Hypocrites

This “hot potato” just went up on James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas Youtube Channel.   I have a feeling it may be doomed to a short life on Youtube.  If you want to download it, see “How To Snag a Youtube Video Before it Disappears.”  ~LTG

PROJECT  VERITAS Describes their latest escapade in citizen journalism:

Posing as “Citizens Against Senseless Violence,” we visit the homes of journalists working for Westchester Journal News, MSNBC, and the Star-Ledger. We also visited the home of Eric Holder. None will take our signs that say “THIS HOME IS PROUDLY GUN FREE.”

Since these reporters and editors did not consider it a violation of the privacy and safety of others to reveal which homes have guns and which homes don’t, we went to see which of them would be willing to put a sign up publicly declaring their homes to be gun-free zones. While we didn’t find any members of the media with the strength of their convictions, we did find quite a few guns, and some good explanations for why they might be necessary….. Guns for Me, but not for Thee.

Vote for the Worst Media Bias of 2012!

What’s the Worst Media Bias of 2012?

Here are the candidates (from NewsMax):

1. In March 2012, two Newsweek/Daily Beast staffers were discussing former Vice President Dick Cheney’s heart transplant in March. Senior writer Ramin Setoodeh (who’s gay) said, “I would never give my heart to Dick Cheney. It would freeze over.” Assignment editor Allison Yarrow chimed in: “He may be one of the most evil people in the world.”

2. In July 2012, while reporting on the Aurora, Colo., theater massacre, ABC’s Brian Ross proclaimed that James Holmes of Aurora had joined the tea party a year earlier, only to admit later that the tea party member was a different James Holmes.

4. In September 2012, CNN’s Piers Morgan fawned over Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who has called for Israel to be wiped off the map. Morgan asked Ahmadinejad, “How many times in your life have you been properly in love?” Ahmadinejad responded, “I’m in love with all humanity. I love all human beings.” To which Morgan gushed: “That might be the best answer I’ve ever heard to that question.”

Singer Harry Belafonte tells Obama to imprison political opponents

Harry Belafonte

Separated at Birth: Belafonte (l); Red Skull of “Captain America” (r)

Harry Belafonte is an 85-year-old black has-been singer who made his career singing cheerful calypso “Banana Boat” songs.

Yesterday, Dec. 12, 2012, Belafonte appeared on MSNBC where he was asked by black racist Al Sharpton about the wrangling going on between the occupant in the White House and Republican House Speaker John Boehner over the budget and the looming fiscal cliff.

Sharpton: “You’ve fought for decades for some of ‘entitlements’ that the right wing wants to try and balance this budget, erh, balance the deficit off of. You look at this — Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security. You’ve been an activist leader through Roosevelt…to Dr. King to Mandela to Obama. How do you view this and what is the challenge for those that are on the [battle] field today?”

Belafonte: “What I think is most attractive about this whole process is watching the political maturity of the American people…. The first question is whether Barack would even be elected. And after the turnout put him emphatically in the presidency, it’s interesting to watch his second term. Everybody really didn’t know what the game would be. But the American people in their maturity declared themselves fully, ‘We want what Barack Obama is talking about. We want the country going in that direction.”

Then, beginning at the 1:07 mark, Belafonte continues: “And what fascinates me is that in the face of millions of Americans expressing their desire, the whole political establishment defining its game, that there should be lingering infestation of really corrupt people who still try to dismantle the wishes of the people, the mandate that has been given to Barack Obama. I don’t know what more they want.”

Beginning at the 1:45 mark, Belafonte then says: “The only thing left for Barack Obama to do is to work like a third world dictator and throw these guys in jail.”

To which Al Sharpton chuckles “He he!”

Yes.

You saw and heard it for yourself.

We have reached the low point in American politics where two black wealthy faux-socialists — Belafonte with a net worth of $28 million; Al Sharpton, a Baptist minister who mysteriously managed to accumulate a net worth of $5 million — openly call for a president (who was “supposedly” elected by 62,615,406 voters to a second term) to throw anyone who disagrees with him in jail, thereby junking every right guaranteed to the American people by the United States Constitution.

Harry Belafonte, you piece of shit. On November 6th, 59,142,004 Americans did NOT vote for your dictator idol. You don’t have enough jails and FEMA camps to jail all 59 millions 142 thousands of us!

Could You Just Imagine?

Rush Limbaugh ponders running CNN

author-image by Joe Kovacs

PALM BEACH, Fla – No, it’s not reality, but radio giant Rush Limbaugh today pondered the possibility of taking over the management of CNN and running things the El Rushbo way.

America’s top-rated host was responding to a listener’s question about how long it would take to turn the cable-news network around and make it similar to what Fox News is.

“A couple of days. Just the announcement that I was going to run CNN would add a million viewers a night,” Limbaugh responded. “And then when we started making changes, it wouldn’t take long at all.”

CNN’s viewership has been plunging recently, and according to Nielsen TV ratings data, it is now a distant third behind Fox News and MSNBC.

For example, on Monday night, May 14, Nielsen indicates Fox News had a prime-time audience of 2.08 million viewers. MSNBC had an estimated 835,000 and CNN had only 325,000.

Limbaugh spent a large portion of his show discussing the possibility of his being in charge at CNN.

“If it were announced that I were going to be running CNN, could you imagine the excrement storm from everywhere if that happened?” he asked rhetorically. “But the tune-in factor would be through the roof, the curiosity tune-in factor. Do any of you doubt that you could improve it? Every one of you thinks you can improve it. Just go show by show. Segment by segment. ‘Nope, wouldn’t have done that, here’s the way to do that.’ Segment by segment you could fix CNN.”

He then got into specific steps he would take at CNN, saying it would not be difficult.

“Basically what I would do us have every editor there listen to this program, and then in prime time, everything we covered on this program would be treated as the news of the day, ’cause that’s what I do. I do the news of the day. They ignore the stuff that we find on this program. I just put the news on that they don’t find interesting or that they don’t think is news. This is a broad, broad overview.

“Philosophically, what CNN’s gotta do is decide who they want to be and then admit it. Right now, they’ve got themselves believing that they are objective, non-partisan journalists. They believe that MSNBC is liberal, that Fox is conservative and that they are Edward R. Murrow. …

“They also believe that the news should have no opinions while they’re full of opinions,” Limbaugh said with a chuckle. “The problem is they won’t own up to their opinions, they won’t admit to it. You’ve got to be competitive in the arena in which you choose to battle. And it’s very clear what cable news has become. It’s become personality-oriented opinion. Unabashed, fearless personality opinion. Anything else is pretense. And if you’re going to do personality-oriented opinion and then deny that’s what you’re doing, then you’re never gonna pull it off because people are going to realize you’re not even being honest with yourself.”

Limbaugh made it very clear, though, that no one should hold their breath waiting for him to ever run CNN.

“It’ll never happen. Don’t sweat it,” he said.

Could you just imagine the mess from all those exploding heads in California, Oregon, Washington and D.C., and the northeast.

Current TV fires Keith Olbermann

Design by BKeyser

First, Keith Olbermann — who was among the first on the rabid Left to call Tea Partiers racist — was fired from MSNBC. So he went to the fat sex-crazed poodle, Global Warming fraudster Al Gore’s Current TV.

Sadly, that marriage didn’t last long.

In just his first four months on America’s least watched network, Olbermann managed to lose nearly a third of his viewers, from a first-month average of 106,000 viewers a night to a paltry 46,000 viewers a night. That meant Olbermann was paid $217.39 per viewer.

Current TV finally had enough. Brian Stelter reports for the New York Times, March 30, 2012:

Current TV said Friday afternoon that it had terminated the contract of its lead anchor, Keith Olbermann, scarcely a year after he was hired to reboot the fledgling channel in his progressive political image.

The cable channel indicated that he had failed to honor the terms of his five-year, $50 million contract, giving the channel the right to terminate it. Starting Friday night, the former New York Gov. Eliot L. Spitzer will take over Mr. Olbermann’s 8 p.m. time slot.

In a stream of Twitter messages, Mr. Olbermann responded to Current’s announcement by stating that “the claims against me in Current’s statement are untrue and will be proved so in the legal actions I will be filing against them presently.”

Current executives declined interview requests about the termination, apparently due to the expected legal action. But in a letter to viewers, the channel’s founders, Al Gore and Joel Hyatt, wrote: “We created Current to give voice to those Americans who refuse to rely on corporate-controlled media and are seeking an authentic progressive outlet. We are more committed to those goals today than ever before. Current was also founded on the values of respect, openness, collegiality, and loyalty to our viewers. Unfortunately these values are no longer reflected in our relationship with Keith Olbermann and we have ended it.”

Blah blah blah…. To read the rest of Stelter’s article, go here.

What a great way to begin our weekend!

Update (March 31):

A peeved Keith Olbermann is now going around bad-mouthing Current TV. From TMZ:

Keith Olbermann wanted out of Current TV well before he was fired yesterday because he felt the network was mismanaged and wouldn’t be around much longer … sources close to Keith tell TMZ.

[..] According to our sources, Keith felt the network was a “ragtag operation” that was disorganized and felt thrown together. We’re told Keith felt the entire place was mismanaged … right down to the office supplies.

On one such occasion, we’re told the staff couldn’t use one of the printers because it was out of toner and they had none in supply. In a staff-wide email obtained by TMZ, a production administrator told the staff, “We expect to have replacement toner in tomorrow and will have a better stock on hand for the future. Sorry for the inconvenience.”

To Keith’s point … they couldn’t even fire him without a giant mistake. In Current TV’s press release to announce that Eliot Spitzer would be taking over for Olbermann, they provided a Twitter account for Spitzer that is not his. The real Eliot Spitzer doesn’t have a Twitter account.

This just gets better and better!

Democrats Want To Take Down One Of Their Own

George Zimmerman a Registered Democrat

photo

BY: – <:time datetime=”2012-03-27T12:28:30+00:00″ pubdate=”">March 27, 2012 12:28 pm

The individual at the center of the controversial Trayvon Martin shooting is a registered Democrat.

George Michael Zimmerman, born Oct. 5, 1983, registered as a Democrat in Seminole County, Fla., in August 2002, according to state voter registration documents.

It is unclear whether he voted for President Barack Obama in 2008.

Some in the media have sought to blame Republican politicians and conservative activists for Martin’s death.

“[Republican politicians] reinforce and validate old stereotypes that associate the poor and welfare as criminal behavior with African-Americans and people of color, calling us lazy, undeserving recipients of public assistance. In the case of Trayvon, those festering stereotypes had lethal consequences,” said MSNBC political analyst and Democratic fundraiser Karen Finney.

According to the document, Zimmerman’s race is officially listed as Hispanic. The son of a white father and Peruvian mother, he has been described as a “white Hispanic” in most media reports.

Following the Feb. 26 fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in a Sanford, Fla. gated community, Zimmerman has been the target of widespread outrage.

Zimmerman shot and killed Martin following a physical confrontation, but has yet to be charged with a crime. He says he acted in self-defense, a claim supported by the Sanford, Fla., Police Department investigating the case.

Protesters and activists led by professional racial justice advocates Al Shartpon and Jesse Jackson have suggested Martin’s killing was racially motivated, and have called for Zimmerman’s arrest.

“We want George Zimmerman in court with handcuffs behind his back,” Sharpton said last week.

Martin’s mother, Sabrina Fulton, has alleged that Zimmerman killed her son “because of the color of his skin.”

Craig Sonner, the attorney representing Zimmerman, has denied such allegations, noting that his client has acted as a mentor to a black single mother and her two children, and had helped them raise money for their all-black church.

Sometimes you just can’t make this stuff up.

No More Thrill Up His Leg

The love is gone.

Chris Matthews, in an interview on MSNBC, asks why Obama even wants a second term:

“There is no Peace Corps. There is no Special Forces…. There is no Moon program. There’s nothing to root for. What are we trying to do in this administration? Why does he want a second term? Will he tell us? What is he going to do in a second term? More of this? Is this it?”

Then Matthews says that we’d “never believe all the things” he hears. He says that members of Congress don’t hear from Obama at all — not a single phone call. That’s because Obama just doesn’t like Congress. BooHoo.

Good grief. Matthews sounds like a jilted lover.

Skippy’s Jobs Bill Fails

POLITICO Breaking News
————————————————-
The Senate voted Tuesday night to block President Barack Obama’s $447 billion jobs bill, falling well short of the votes needed to break a Republican filibuster. The final vote was being held open so that Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.) could give Democrats their 51st “yes” vote, but the measure required 60 to move ahead.
