Another partisan professor misuses classroom to bash Christians and Republicans

The faculty of most colleges and universities in the United States, especially the top-tier Ivy league ones, are registered Democrats. Some are outright Marxist socialists or communists.

The University of Southern California (USC) is no different.

Darry SragowA month ago, I wrote about an aging loser of a political science professor at USC, Adjunct Assistant Professor Darry Sragow, who used classroom time to bash white people, Republicans, and conservatives, although he himself is white.

How is Sragow an academic loser?

“Assistant Professor” is the title of the lowest rung of professorship — typically of  young fresh-out-of-grad-schools Ph.D.s.  “Adjunct” means Sragow is hired only on a year-by-year basis. All of which means that Sragow was hired as a junior Assistant Professor in another college or university many years ago but was denied tenure there. So now he makes his living drifting from one university to another as an Adjunct.

In other words, Darry Sragow is a loser — a failure in academe. How can I say this so confidently? Because I know academe, having gone through the ranks, from young assistant professor, to tenured associate professor, to full professor, to full professor emeritus. I had never ever misused my authority as a professor to use the classroom to advance my partisanship or to hurl insults at political figures.

Richard DekmejianNow comes news that another USC political science prof, Richard Dekmejian, has also been caught on video using his class as a platform for bashing conservatives.

Oliver Darcy and Josiah Ryan report for Campus Reform, May 7, 2013, that student Tyler Talgo secretly recorded Dekmejian’s 20-minute rant in a political science class in Fall 2012.

In the video, Dekmejian claims former President George W. Bush suffered from mental instability and stupidity during his time in office. He said Bush was bound by “serious intellectual and mental problems” and must have been “stupid or lying” to initiate Operation Iraqi Freedom for the reason of promoting democracy.

Dekmejian also leveled a number of derogatory comments against members of the Bush administration, alleging both Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice “lied” to the American people during their service. The professor instructed his students that “You have to use that term [lying] people. Don’t use that term mislead.”

Dekmejian also accused Christians of salivating over violence in the Middle East: “The right wing evangelical community… these are the people who get happy on television every time there is a conflict in the Middle East. They think that the book of revelation tells them that the messiah…the Christian messiah, Jesus is going to come…all we need is a war in the Middle East involving Israel and the Arabs.”

Dekmejian did, however, praise former President Jimmy Carter (D) for his service during and after his presidency: “He’s still going around doing good things by the way, Carter. That Carter, very respectable.”

Elizabeth Garrett, provost and senior vice president for Academic Affairs at USC, told Campus Reform in a written statement that “faculty members are entitled to freedom in the classroom in discussing their subjects. The freedom to take unpopular positions and the freedom to express those positions publicly are at the foundation of what it means to be a faculty member of a university. One of the most important principles of an academic community has been that academic inquiry and discussion be free from censorship or undue outside control.”

Blah, blah, blah.

But for Garrett, “academic freedom” seems only to apply to faculty but not to students. She noted that USC’s student code of conduct “expressly prohibits” students from videotaping their professors in the classroom, but declined to say whether Talgo would be disciplined for releasing his video of Professor Dekmejian to the public.

Here’s the video of Dekmejian:

Richard Dekmejian is a full professor of political science. Surprisingly for a full professor, Dekmejian’s faculty profile lists only his “conference and other presentations” and his university service, but no book or even a refereed journal article. On Rate My Professors, on a scale of 1 to 5 (with 5 signifying “excellent”), he scored an overall rating of a decidedly mediocre 3.4.

General Petraeus To Testify On Benghazi This Week

Yep, I’m going to beat Benghazi Like A Dead Horse.

DeadHorseTheoryamplido

OK,   This article looks like things are going to rock and roll when

General Petraeus Testifies this week. Seems he may have an ax to grind with skippy. I’d like to pull one paragraph out and highlight how Jay Carney answers a reporter’s question. It just amazes me how these people can say so much and not even come close to answering your question..LOL

I’ll run the whole story after the pull out. Am I confusing you? Cause I’m sure as heck confusing myself.   :D         ~ Steve~

OK,  This is reporter’s question.

“Again,” one newly curious reporter asked, “what role did the White House play, not just in making but in directing changes that took place to these?”

And this is Carneys response.

“Well,” the carney said, “thank you for that question. The way to look at this, I think, is to start from that week and understand that in the wake of the attacks in Benghazi, an effort was underway to find out what happened, who was responsible. In response to a request from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence to the CIA, the CIA began a process of developing points that could be used in public by members of Congress, by members of that committee. And that process, as is always the case — again, led by the CIA — involved input from a variety of …”

Enough. You get the point: Full Spin Cycle.

Just what in the hell is he saying? I know he did not answer the question, and seems he threw the C.I.A. under the bus. Now if memory serves who was the director of CIA at time of Benghazi? Hmmmm-

Watch out for Petraeus in Benghazi                    scandal

http://www.washingtontimes.com/staff/joseph-curl/

By their second term “inside the bubble,” presidents have completely lost touch with reality: Aides and confidants conspire to keep the chief executive insulated from the real world — the bad news, the worse press coverage. They think it’s their job, and lounging on the Oval Office couches, they nod along with the president’s every musing.

But this presidency has taken OOCS to new heights. Mr. Obama has only a few trusted aides, and occasional leaks from the West Wing show a paranoid president suspicious of nearly everyone around him. Supremely confident, convinced by the fawning minions at his feet that he is untouchable, the president dismisses all controversy as partisan attacks by an overzealous opposition. A pliant press corps of stenographers follows in lockstep.

Not surprisingly, every president in the past 60 years has had a major scandal in Term 2: Dwight Eisenhower had the U-2 “incident”; Richard Nixon had Watergate; Ronald Reagan had Iran-Contra; Bill Clinton had Monica (literally); George W. Bush had Katrina (and let’s not forget those WMDs that never turned up); and now, this president has Benghazi.

Make no mistake: Benghazi is a major scandal. Benghazi is a scandal before, during and after the terrorist attack that left four Americas dead, including an ambassador.

For months before, there were warnings about weak security at the U.S. Consulate in Libya; no one paid attention. During the attack, when Americans were begging for help, the White House ignored their pleas, sent no help.

And after? That’s when the Obama scandal falls into the predictable second-term pattern his predecessors all learned the very hard way. Faced with a crisis, the Obama White House panicked. “We can’t have a terrorist strike two months before Election Day, so … let’s not have a terrorist strike two months before Election Day.” Cue the Cover-Up.

So little is known about what happened in BenghaziWhere was the commander in chief that night? No pictures from the Situation Room this time. Why didn’t the Pentagon authorize a quick-response team to swoop in? Members of the military say they were ready — burning — to go. The call came in: Stand down. Let them die. There were dozens of witnesses to the attack that night: Where are they? What do they know? What really happened that night?

And who forced the heavy-handed redactions of those infamous “talking points,” the ones that sent Mr. Obama’s ambassador to the United Nations onto the Sunday talk shows to declare that the attack was just the culmination of a spontaneous protest over an anti-Islam video posted on YouTube?

Carnival barker Jay Carney looked almost ashen Friday as he took the podium to face a suddenly invigorated press corps. Of course, the public briefing came after a private session with “reporters who matter,” a sure sign the White House is in full hunker-down mode — and, more precisely, terrified.

“Again,” one newly curious reporter asked, “what role did the White House play, not just in making but in directing changes that took place to these?”

Speaking for the White House, the flack said the CIA was fully to blame for the talking points. Fully. “That is what was generated by the intelligence community, by the CIA,” he said.

“Since April, there have been at least five other attacks against foreign interests in Benghazi by unidentified assailants.” That line was stricken: Everything was fine there — fine fine fine.

And: “We do know that Islamic extremists with ties to Al Qaeda participated in the attack.” That line, too, was deleted by … someone. Instead, this was inserted: “There are indications that extremists participated in the violent demonstrations.”

Despite protestations by the White House, this scandal is just beginning. And the White House has picked a very bad scapegoat: the Central Intelligence Agency. The CIA follows RFK’s edict: “Don’t get mad, get even.” And when the CIA gets even, it isn’t pretty.

With the White House putting all blame on the agency, expect push back this week — nuclear push back. Gen. David H. Petraeus, the former director forced to resign after a sex scandal, is a dangerous man to the Obama administration. Mad and intent on getting even, he’s already talking, telling one reporter the talking points were “useless” and that he preferred not to use them at all. The floodgates will open this week, and by the end of business Friday, the scandal will be full blown.

A warning to those West Wing sycophants suffering from acute OOCS: Don’t walk down any dark alleys.

13% of Americans believe Obama is the Antichrist

Antichrist2

Matt Berman reports for National Journal, April 2, 2013, that a new poll by Public Policy Polling found that 13% of registered American voters surveyed believe the POS is the Antichrist, while another 13% are not sure.

The poll of 1,247 registered American voters was conducted from March 27-30, 2013, through automated telephone interviews. The margin of error for the overall sample is +/-2.8%.

Some other findings of the poll (here’s the survey in pdf):

  • 4% of respondents believe shape-shifting reptilian people control our world by taking on human form and gaining power.
  • 5% of respondents believe Paul McCartney died and
was secretly replaced in the Beatles in 1966.
  • 7% of those surveyed do not believe the moon landing was fake and that astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin had ever really landed on the moon.
  • 11% are not sure if Osama bin Laden indeed is dead. (Note from Eowyn: Bin Laden allegedly was killed by Navy SEAL Team 6 on May 2, 2011, although the Pentagon has no records of his death.)
  • 14% of respondents believe the CIA was “instrumental” in dealing crack cocaine into America’s inner cities in the 1980s.
  • 15% of those surveyed think the media or government add “secret mind-controlling technology” to TV broadcasts.
  • Only 25% of those surveyed think Lee Harvey Oswald had acted alone in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. 51% believe there was a larger conspiracy.
  • 28% of respondents think Saddam Hussein was involved in 9/11; 51% don’t.
  • 28% of those surveyed believe that a “secretive power elite with a globalist agenda is conspiring to eventually rule the world through an authoritarian world government, or New World Order.”
  • 37% of respondents said global warming is a hoax; 51% think it is not.
  • 44% of respondents believe the Bush administration intentionally misled the U.S. about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq to promote the war; 45% said no.

Virginia’s GOP Governor calls Obama “minister from God”

As Christians, we are exhorted to “love” our enemy. The word “love,” not being defined, opens the door to all sorts of squishy smarmy interpretations, the most ridiculous being to “not judge,” that is to not distinguish between right from wrong. As if the Second Person of the Trinity became incarnate, suffered grievously, and was murdered because there’s no right vs. wrong and everything and everyone is all lollipop and rainbow.

My understanding of Christ’s injunction to “love your enemy” is that (1) we should not wish them ill; and (2) the way to truly love someone is to wish that they one day will be with God; which in turn means that (3) they repent, turn from the path of evil, toward goodness and God.

And so I understand “love your enemy” to mean pray for your enemy — pray that they repent, turn from the path of evil, toward goodness and God. Doing so is very very hard, but I have prayed for Obama. Heck, I will even pray for the repentance of the Anti-Christ.

Republican Governor of Virginia Bob McDonnell (photo below), elected in 2010, however, has gone beyond praying for Obama to fawning over the POS.

Bob McDonnell

William Murray reports for WND, Jan. 9, 2013, that at the annual Commonwealth Prayer Breakfast on Jan. 8, held at the Richmond, Va., convention center, McDonnell called Obama “an appointed minister of God to do what is good” and asked that God give Obama “the wisdom of Solomon.”

Gag.

Bob McDonnell is a Roman Catholic. The Catholic Church is the leading institution in America and the world which consistently stands for life and against abortion, calling abortion a non-negotiable “intrinsic evil.”

Obama is not just pro-abortion.

Obama is not just pro-late term or partial birth abortion, in which a suction catheter is inserted into the baby’s skull to suction out his/her brain which causes the skull to collapse and allows the now-dead human being to pass more easily through the mother’s cervix.

Obama approves of killing babies who survive a botched late term abortion by leaving them unattended in a room to slowly die from lack of water and nutrients. When he was an Illinois state senator, Obama had voted against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002 – a federal law, signed by President George W. Bush, which extends legal protection to an infant born alive after a failed attempt at induced abortion. Obama voted against the law not once, not twice, but THREE times.

Obama is evil.

If Obama is an “appointed minister of God,” then we’re in deep deep trouble.

Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf, coalition forces leader during Persian Gulf War, dies.

Sorry Folks a bit late on this.      ~Steve~

norman-schwarzkopf-300

Americans mourned a military legend after retired Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf died Thursday at age 78, leaving behind a legacy that most famously included driving Saddam Hussein’s forces out of Kuwait.

Schwarzkopf died, in Tampa, from complications from pneumonia. He was remembered not only for his impressive military record, but his intelligence, his modesty and his warmth and dedication to fellow servicemembers.

“His epitaph should read that he was a soldier who loved solders,” retired Gen. Bob Scales, who knew the late general, told Fox News.

Nicknamed “Stormin’ Norman,” Schwarzkopf went on after he retired to support various national causes and children’s charities while eschewing the spotlight and resisting efforts to draft him to run for political office.

He lived out a quiet retirement in Tampa, where he’d served his last military assignment and where an elementary school bearing his name is testament to his standing in the community.

Schwarzkopf capped an illustrious military career by commanding the U.S.-led international coalition that drove Hussein’s forces out of Kuwait in 1991 — but he’d managed to keep a low profile in the public debate over the second Gulf War against Iraq, saying at one point that he doubted victory would be as easy as the White House and the Pentagon predicted.

Former President H.W. Bush, who has been in an intensive care unit in Texas, called the general a “distinguished member of that Long Gray Line hailing from West Point.”

“General Norm Schwarzkopf, to me, epitomized the ‘duty, service, country’ creed that has defended our freedom and seen this great Nation through our most trying international crises. More than that, he was a good and decent man — and a dear friend,” Bush said.

President Obama described Schwarzkopf as an “American original.”

“From his decorated service in Vietnam to the historic liberation of Kuwait and his leadership of United States Central Command, General Schwarzkopf stood tall for the country and Army he loved,” Obama said in a statement.

Schwarzkopf was named commander in chief of U.S. Central Command at Tampa’s MacDill Air Force Base in 1988, overseeing the headquarters for U.S. military and security concerns in nearly two dozen countries stretching across the Middle East to Afghanistan and the rest of central Asia, plus Pakistan.

When Saddam invaded Kuwait two years later to punish it for allegedly stealing Iraqi oil reserves, Schwarzkopf commanded Operation Desert Storm, the coalition of some 30 countries organized by President George H.W. Bush that succeeded in driving the Iraqis out.

At the peak of his postwar national celebrity, Schwarzkopf — a self-proclaimed political independent — rejected suggestions that he run for office, and remained far more private than other generals, although he did serve briefly as a military commentator for NBC.

While focused primarily on charitable enterprises in his later years, he campaigned for President George W. Bush in 2000, but was ambivalent about the 2003 invasion of Iraq. In early 2003 he told The Washington Post that the outcome was an unknown: “What is postwar Iraq going to look like, with the Kurds and the Sunnis and the Shiites? That’s a huge question, to my mind. It really should be part of the overall campaign plan.”

Initially Schwarzkopf had endorsed the invasion, saying he was convinced that Secretary of State Colin Powell had given the United Nations powerful evidence of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. After that proved false, he said decisions to go to war should depend on what U.N. weapons inspectors found.

He seldom spoke up during the conflict, but in late 2004 he sharply criticized Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld and the Pentagon for mistakes that included erroneous judgments about Iraq and inadequate training for Army reservists sent there.

“In the final analysis I think we are behind schedule. … I don’t think we counted on it turning into jihad (holy war),” he said in an NBC interview.

Schwarzkopf was born Aug. 24, 1934, in Trenton, N.J., where his father, Col. H. Norman Schwarzkopf Jr., founder and commander of the New Jersey State Police, was then leading the investigation of the Lindbergh kidnap case. That investigation ended with the arrest and 1936 execution of German-born carpenter Richard Hauptmann for murdering famed aviator Charles Lindbergh’s infant son.

Evangelicals and faithful Catholics came through for Romney

Years and centuries from now, when our children and their descendants look back on the election of 2012, they will see that in the history written about that election, faithful Christians did what was right.

Alex Murashko reports for the Christian Post, November 8, 2012, that both evangelicals and faithful Catholics overcame whatever misgivings we had about Mitt Romney’s Mormon faith to turn out in droves to vote for him.

Among Catholics, it was the faithful and white Catholics who came through for Romney. Faithful or practicing Catholics (whom the media call “traditional Catholics,” a misnomer) are those who actually obey the Church’s rule of attending Sunday (or Saturday vigil) Mass every week. Not to do that is a mortal sin, which means that those Catholics who don’t are apostates.

Catholic voters who regularly attend Mass broke 67% for Romney to 32% for Obama. This represented a swing of 35% in the direction of the GOP since 2008. Romney also won white Catholics by a margin of 59% to 40%, a margin of 19 points among a group that historically has voted for the winner. Nevertheless, Obama still narrowly won the overall Catholic vote driven largely by over performing among Hispanic Catholics, who put their self-interest about immigration over and above Obama’s pro-abortion and pro-infanticide stance.

In voting for Obama, those white and Hispanic Catholics went against the explicit stricture of the Church on abortion being an intrinsic evil, the importance of which supercedes other considerations such as immigration and “social justice” concerns for the poor.

As for evangelical Christians, a national post-election survey by the Faith and Freedom Coalition (FFC) found that, unlike the Ron Paul cultists, evangelicals turned out to vote in record numbers, comparable to their turnout for George W. Bush in 2004. Ralph Reed, chairman of FFC, noted, “That is an astonishing outcome that few would have predicted even a few months ago.”

78% of evangelical Christian votes went to Romney; 21% to Obama. Reed intimated that those evangelicals who voted for Obama tend to be youths and minorities. In fact, as in 2008, not factoring religion or faith, Obama easily won the youth vote nationally, 67% to 30%.

The evangelical vote actually increased in 2012 to a record 27% of the electorate. This was the highest share of the vote in modern political history for evangelicals. Romney’s performance among evangelicals represented a net swing of 10% over John McCain’s performance in 2008.

Prior to the election, Reed had promised to use his coalition to mobilize an army of grassroots activists nationwide in order to get Christian voters to the polls in numbers never seen before. And Reed delivered on his promise. The coalition said it has distributed 30 million voter guides passed out in 117,000 churches, 24 million pieces of mail, and has made 23 million get-out-the-vote calls.

Virtually the entire increase in Mitt Romney’s vote compared to John McCain’s in 2008 came because of higher turnout and higher support from evangelical voters,” said Glen Bolger, the pollster who conducted the survey.

Putting the issue of voters’ faith aside, Romney did better than McCain in 2008 in almost every demographic category. But Obama was helped by a strong turnout from his own party and Latinos [and Democrat voter fraud, Ron Paul cultists' abstention, and the Obama administration's suppression of the military vote. See my post, "Why we lost the 2012 election."]

Faith and Family Coalition’s post-election survey was conducted by Public Opinion Strategies and included interviewing 1,600 actual 2012 voters. The margin of error is +/- 2.45%.

And so, Obama is reelected to a second term not for lack of effort from faithful Christians. We did the right thing. We overcame our theological differences with Mormonism because we correctly recognize that Obama and the Democrats represent true evil. We turned out in even larger numbers than in 2008 and voted overwhelmingly for religious liberty, the sanctity of life and marriage, and limited government.

We lost the political battle. But we can stand before God in good conscience as His faithful servants. We did “put on the armor of God” and stood “firm against the tactics of the devil … on the evil day.” “Having done everything,” we now hold our ground and “stand fast,” with our “loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate,” our “feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace” and “in all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.” (Ephesians 6)

We will need that shield because the faithful Christian vote is not lost on Obama and the Demonrats. So be prepared for their reprisals, mindful that Obama had already pronounced that his supporters would “vote for revenge,” while his malevolent senior adviser consigliere, the Iran-born Marxist Valerie Jarrett, has vowed:

“After we win this election, it’s our turn. Payback time. Everyone not with us is against us and they better be ready because we don’t forget. The ones who helped us will be rewarded, the ones who opposed us will get what they deserve. There is going to be hell to pay. Congress won’t be a problem for us this time. No election to worry about after this is over and we have two judges ready to go.”

We have been warned by Cardinal Francis George of Chicago about the coming persecution. Alarmed about Obama’s war against the Catholic Church and against religious liberty, Cardinal George said “I expect to die in bed, my successor will die in prison and his successor will die a martyr in the public square.”

Obama is evil

All gloves come off. I will no longer mince words.

“Evil” is the deliberate intentional infliction of harm on an innocent other.

Partial-birth abortion is evil.

Partial-birth abortion is also called late-term abortion: an induced abortion procedure that occurs typically after the 20th week of gestation. Under the Intact D&X method, the largest part of the baby’s head is “reduced in diameter” to allow vaginal passage. According to the American Medical Association, this procedure has four main steps:

  1. Usually, preliminary procedures are performed over a period of two to three days, to gradually dilate the cervix using laminaria tents (sticks of seaweed which absorb fluid and swell) and drugs to induce labor.
  2. Once the cervix is sufficiently dilated, the doctor uses an ultrasound and forceps to grasp the baby’s leg and pull one or both legs out of the cervix, which is why the procedure is called “partial birth”.
  3. The doctor then makes an incision at the base of the baby’s skull and inserts a blunt dissector (such as a Kelly clamp) into the incision to widen the incision. Then, a suction catheter is inserted into the skull to suction out the baby’s brain, which causes the skull to collapse and allows the fetus to pass more easily through the cervix.
  4. The placenta is removed and the uterine wall is vacuum aspirated using a cannula.

Here’s a video describing just what happens in a partial-birth abortion:

In 2003, such late-term abortions finally became unlawful in the United States when the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act (PBABA) was signed into law. But Barack Hussein Obama (and Michelle, too) not only approves of partial-birth abortion, he three-times voted against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act of 2002 – a federal law, signed by President George W. Bush, which extends legal protection to an infant born alive after a failed attempt at induced abortion.

Obama means to overturn both the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act and the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. If the latter were overturned, what will happen to babies born alive after a failed abortion?

They will be left alone in a room, to slowly die from starvation and neglect….

If you vote for this man today, you are voting for evil.

If you vote for this man today, your heart is as icy as his.

Just watch this video and tell me otherwise (h/t PatriotActionNetwork):

In all good conscience, how can you vote for this man? Unless, of course, like him, you are bereft of conscience. But like him, you too will have to answer for your black heart before God.

“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” -Matthew 18:6

Obama’s young male golfing buddies

As of early September 2012, Barry Soetoro Obama has played golf 104 times since becoming president, according to Mark Knoller of CBS News.

In a rare moment of honesty with CBS News’ Harry Smith, B.S. Obama admitted he’s “terrible” at golf, but is drawn to the game just the same: “It’s the only time that for six hours, I’m outside…where you almost feel normal…. It feels as if…you’re out of the container.”

An effeminate-looking Obama sits in his golf cart at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, April 26, 2009.

During George W. Bush’s presidency, the media incessantly carped about his golfing. But Mark Knoller points out that Bush played 24 rounds of golf during the first 2 years of his presidency, then decided to stop, six months into the war in Iraq. “I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal,” he said in an interview in 2008 with Yahoo and Politico.com.

Knoller also makes this interesting observation:

“We don’t ever hear about Mr. Obama’s scores on the golf course. And only rarely does the White House permit the press to get a photograph of the president on the links. During the Clinton presidency, such photo ops were routine.”

All of which has piqued Kevin DuJan of Hillbuzz’s curiosity about the POS’s golfing and his golfing companions. DuJan asks on Oct. 1, 2012, “Who are Obama’s golfing buddies and at what clubs did he golf?“:

Today I’m digging up all articles I can find about Barack Obama’s golfing buddies and which clubs he’s golfed at as president. So far, I’ve identified the following men as regular members of Obama’s “foursome”:* Ben Finkenbinder (a staff member in the Press Office…)* David Katz (Department of Energy staff member)* Marvin Nicholson (WH trip director)

It’s such an odd group of (mostly) young men that I’m surprised Larry Sinclair wasn’t invited to “go golfing” too.

[...] the men that Bill Clinton golfed with regularly while he was President. I remember those guys being big power brokers like Vernon Jordan, professional golfers like Arnold Palmer, and big-wigs such as Senators and Governors and the like. Clinton didn’t head to the links with twenty-something male staffers he referred to as “The Finkmeister”. It’s just all so strange.

What were these guys really doing together? Obama’s such a terrible golfer…despite all that time supposedly “golfing”…and it’s bizarre to think random, young guys who are an odd fit for a President’s “friends” would be spending such ridiculous amounts of time together engaged in a activity such as “golfing”.

Hmmmmm.

An article by Garret M. Graff in the August 2011 issue of The Washingtonian gives us more information on Obama’s three most frequent golf companions: Ben Finkenbinder, David Katz, and Marvin Nicholson. I’ve added photos of the three young men to Graff’s account. Finkenbinder’s pic is from Hillbuzz; I found Katz’s and Nicholson’s via Google Image search. Finding a photo of David Katz was very challenging.

National Guard ask police for names of gunowners and military vets

Two days ago, I received a very troubling phone call from a trusted friend. The friend does not want his name and that of his state to be made public. I will call my friend X and his state Y.

Here is what X told me:

Last Saturday, August 4, 2012, X got a phone call from a good friend, Z, who is a cop in a small town in Y.

Z said that both he and a cop in another neighboring town were paid a visit by two men, driving in separate unmarked Humvees, who identified themselves as members of the National Guard.

The two National Guardsmen (NGs) said they were “doing a survey” and asked the cops for those residents of their respective towns who:

  • own lots of firearms;
  • are long-distance shooters;
  • are military veterans.

The cops told the NGs that, it being a Saturday, they should come back on Monday when the police chiefs are at the stations. But the NGs said they are asking precisely the rank-and-file police officers; in other words, the NGs’ intent was to bypass the brass, i.e., the chain of command.

After the two NGs left, cop Z followed their vehicles and saw the NGs drive around town, making GPS readings.

Cop Z told my friend X that:

  • The National Guard is working under the Dept. of Homeland Security (DHS).
  • Obama and Eric Holder, known for their antipathy toward the Second Amendment and private gun ownership, found a legal loophole that allows the federal government to ask the questions the two NGs had asked the cops. And so Obama issued a presidential directive empowering such agencies as the FBI, U.S. Marshalls, BATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms), and the National Guard to gather this information to compile a data base.

So I went looking on the web. This is what I found:

1. I found NOTHING about the National Guard going around asking cops for information on owners of firearms and military vets, in Y or any other state.

2. The U.S. National Guard is considered to be a reserve military force and, as such, is under the Dept. of Defense, not Homeland Security. The agencies that are under DHS are Customs and Border Protection, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Transportation Security Administration (TSA), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Secret Service, and the Office of Inspector General. (See DHS’s organizational chart).

3. I cannot find a presidential directive that specifically orders federal agencies like the National Guard to conduct a firearms survey by asking cops in towns across America. But that is not to say that such a presidential directive doesn’t exist. Here’s why:

I discovered and opened a can of worms about which I’d never even known until now. The “can of worms” is something called Presidential Directives. This is what Wikipedia says:

Presidential Directives … are a form of an executive order issued by the President of the United States with the advice and consent of the National Security Council. The directives articulate the executive’s national security policy and carry the “full force and effect of law”.

Since many of the Presidential Directives pertain to the national security of the United States, many were or are secret (“classified“).

Presidents have issued such directives under various names.

Under President George W. Bush (2001-2009), they were called National Security Presidential Directives (NSPD) and Homeland Security Presidential Directives.

Under Barack Obama (2009- ), they are called NSPD, Presidential Study Directives (to initiate policy review procedures), and Presidential Policy Directives (to promulgate Presidential decisions on national security matters).

Regarding the secrecy of presidential directives, Steven Aftergood of the Federation of American Scientists’ Project on Government Secrecy stated in February 2008 that:

“Of the 54 National Security Presidential Directives issued by the (George W.) Bush Administration to date, the titles of only about half have been publicly identified. There is descriptive material or actual text in the public domain for only about a third. In other words, there are dozens of undisclosed Presidential directives that define U.S. national security policy and task government agencies, but whose substance is unknown either to the public or, as a rule, to Congress.”

For the list of known Homeland Security Presidential Directives of George W. Bush, click here.

As for Obama’s Presidential Policy Directives (PPD), you can see from the table below that:

  • The titles of most of his Directives are unknown.
  • Of those Directives with titles, the contents (texts) of only 4 Directives (Nos. 1, 2, 8, 14) are made public.
  • The list of Obama’s Presidential Policy Directives hasn’t been updated since February 28, 2012, which means there must be more subsequent Directives for which we don’t even have a number!

Number

Presidential Policy Directive
Title

Date

PPD 1 Organization of the National Security Council System 02/13/09
PPD 2 Implementation of the National Strategy for Countering Biological Threats (National Strategy) 11/23/09
PPD 3
PPD 4 National Space Policy (Fact Sheet) 06/28/10
PPD 5
PPD 6 Global Development (Fact Sheet) 09/22/10
PPD 7 National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) 01/26/11
PPD 8 National Preparedness 03/30/11
PPD 9
PPD 10
PPD 11
PPD 12
PPD 13
PPD 14 Procedures Implementing Section 1022 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012 (Fact Sheet) 02/28/12

To conclude, given:

  • The known fact that the POS in the White House and his attorney general Eric Holder want nothing more than to limit private gun ownership;
  • The fact that Presidential Directives carry “the full force and effect of law,” but are so secretive that the substance of many of these Directives is unknown to, not just the American people, but “as a rule” to Congress as well;

Then I see no reason to doubt the account of the two cops of a visit by two mysterious National Guardsmen.

We Had It All Wrong

George Bush: Evil Genius

When George W. Bush was President we were fed a daily diet from the lame stream media about how dumb he was, that he was an empty suit and couldn’t match wits with an amoeba. Truth is, Bush was an evil genius, not really, but to hear Obama tell it he knew as far back as 2000 that Barack Obama would be president after his two terms.

Bush planned and schemed to make Obama’s first (and only term) a living hell by fighting the war on terror which unfortunately took money to fight, by fighting against Barney Frank and Chris Dodd to keep them from enabling mortgage companies giving out sub-prime mortgages to individuals which lead to the housing bust and economic disaster. He was also the mastermind behind the mass hypnosis of the democrats in 2007 when they took over the House and Senate that made them spend taxpayers money like drunken hollywood starlets with unlimited credit on Rodeo Drive.

All Bush ever did for his whole eight years as president is plot Obama’s misery and stick pins in his Obama voodoo doll. According to Obama he can’t do anything to offset all the damage Bush did, everything he tries to do, fails because everything was Bush’s fault, from the tsunami in Japan, to the economic crisis in Europe, from the violence in the Middle East, to hurricane Katrina. Bush did it all just so the first black president would look like a total boob

The truth is that all of Obama’s problems are his doing, he has spent us into oblivion and weakened of country exponentially. I won’t hold my breath waiting for the day that he admits to his failures, but a real man, a real president would own up to the massive mistakes and ruinous policies of his administration. But like I said I won’t hold my breath because I know we aren’t dealing with a real man or president.
