Will this make you buy Channel No. 5?

Many years ago, I succumbed to the commercials and bought a small bottle of Chanel No. 5.

Vastly over-rated.

Nowadays, if I wear fragrance at all, it’s natural oils of flowers.

The Christmas over-consumption season is upon us. Please tell me honestly if this ad will make you run out and buy a bottle of Chanel No. 5.

“It’s not a journey. Every journey ends, but we go on. The world turns and we turn with it. Plans disappear, dreams take over. But wherever I go, there you are. My luck, my fate, my fortune. Chanel No.5. Inevitable.”

Hilarious!

Does Brad Pitt, looking like a homeless person, actually understand what he solemnly intoned?

But wait!

Doesn’t the ad’s nonsensical text sound just like this?

“…a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany … and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Obama.”

Obama said that in a speech at the Lebanon Opera House, New Hampshire, on January 7, 2008.

Chanel No. 5 and Obama. Same hypnosis!

By the way, the retail price of a teeny weeny 0.05 oz of Chanel No. 5 Parfum Mini is $25.00! No wonder advertisers don’t like older people and market only to the gullible young.

Obama SuperPAC accepts money from another “comic” that attacks women

Stuck on stoopid...

Chelsea Handler gives $100,000 to Obama SuperPAC

Wilshire & Washington: Priorities USA Action, the SuperPAC run by former White House aides Bill  Burton and Sean Sweeney, collected $2.5 million in March, including a $100,000  donation from TV personality Chelsea Handler.

Democrats have had a difficult time raising money via SuperPACs, and the most  recent month shows that, despite a $1 million contribution from Bill Maher,  there’s not exactly a flood of top dollar support for the independent  expenditure committee.

The Obama campaign has given its blessing to Priorities, even while the  president has criticized the influence of unlimited money in politics.  Nevertheless, entertainment industry figures have a very mixed feeling toward  abandoning their ideals for saner election spending vs. seeing the massive  contributions as just a fact of life if the president is to compete against a  tidal wave of SuperPAC money on the GOP side.

While the democrats claim republicans have a “war on women”, those that vocally attack women contribute money to Skippy and the SRM gives them a pass.

Bill Maher called Sarah Palin the “c” word and a “t*at” yet Skippy’s SuperPAC keeps the cash.

Now Skippy may have to answer to a couple that support him – Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (it appears her support is not as strong as it was in 2008, maybe she’s getting it).

Back in 2010, Chelsea Handler went off on Angelina Jolie during a standup performance in New Jersey, calling the actress a f**king homewrecker and worse.  “She can rescue as many babies from as many countries as she wants to,” Chelsea said. “I don’t f**king believe you … she gives interviews, ‘I don’t have a lot of female friends.’ Cause you’re a f**king c**t … you’re a f**king b***h.”

Don’t hold your breath that Skippy will return this money.  After all, Chelsea is just another “comic” practicing her “art”.

Brad Pitt changes his tune…

Remember when Brad Pitt got all sanctimonious and said the following,

I’ve said that we would not be getting married until everyone in this county had the right to get married. We live in this great country that is about freedom. It is defined by our freedom and equality and yet we allow this discrimination to go on everyday and that’s not what we’re about — that’s not what makes us great. Until that is reversed, I just don’t get it.

Ellen Degeneres, who is a lesbian, asked, “So that means if like, next week if it’s legal for everyone to get married that you would then be getting married the very next day?”

“It seems,” Pitt said, before he crumbled, confessing that “The kids are putting on the heat. They really are. They are putting on the heat.”

“You’ll still hold out?” Degeneres said.  “Somebody help me,” Pitt panicked. “I don’t know what the future holds!”

Brad and Angelina have become engaged and received the blessing from Equality California, a gay rights group in California.

Rebekah Orr, Communications Director for Equality California, says the group is totally behind the Brangelina marriage, even if the right to vote is still not enjoyed by everyone. (I don’t know what this means, since everyone – including many illegals – have the right to vote in America.  Must be typo on the TMZ website.)

She tells us, “Marriage is something that says ‘we’re a family’ in a way that nothing else can … No one has to deny that for themselves or their family to prove they are an ally and supporter of equality.”

Never mind the fact that everyone in this country does have the right to marry, I’m happy to see that Brad Pitt is going to do the right thing and marry the mother of his children.  Let’s just hope that this Hollyweird marriage can survive, for the sake of their children.
