Many years ago, I succumbed to the commercials and bought a small bottle of Chanel No. 5.
Vastly over-rated.
Nowadays, if I wear fragrance at all, it’s natural oils of flowers.
The Christmas over-consumption season is upon us. Please tell me honestly if this ad will make you run out and buy a bottle of Chanel No. 5.
“It’s not a journey. Every journey ends, but we go on. The world turns and we turn with it. Plans disappear, dreams take over. But wherever I go, there you are. My luck, my fate, my fortune. Chanel No.5. Inevitable.”
Does Brad Pitt, looking like a homeless person, actually understand what he solemnly intoned?
But wait!
Doesn’t the ad’s nonsensical text sound just like this?
“…a light will shine through that window, a beam of light will come down upon you, you will experience an epiphany … and you will suddenly realize that you must go to the polls and vote for Obama.”
Obama said that in a speech at the Lebanon Opera House, New Hampshire, on January 7, 2008.
Chanel No. 5 and Obama. Same hypnosis!
By the way, the retail price of a teeny weeny 0.05 oz of Chanel No. 5 Parfum Mini is $25.00! No wonder advertisers don’t like older people and market only to the gullible young.
