How White House & Google celebrate Easter 2013

Other than Christmas, Easter is the most important day for Christians.

Despite the POS’s proclamation on June 28, 2006, that America was “no longer a Christian nation,” Christianity remains the most popular faith in the United States, with around 73% of polled Americans identifying themselves as Christian in 2012. In the mid-1990s the United States had the largest Christian population on earth, with 224 million Christians.

To the 73% of Americans who are Christians — and especially if you had voted for Obama in 2008 and/or 2012 — here’s something to think about:

Obama will be celebrating Easter tomorrow with a “Yoga Garden” for children and their parents attending the traditional White House Easter Egg Roll. Yoga is one of the six orthodox schools of Hinduism — the predominant and decidedly nonChristian religion of India.

Newsweek ShivaObama as Shiva, the supreme god in Hinduism

Charlie Spiering reports for The Examiner that the White House issued an announcement that President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama will include a “Yoga Garden” for children and their parents who attend the traditional Easter Egg Roll festivities on Monday.  “Come enjoy a session of yoga from professional instructors,” the announcement reads. The event’s theme is “Be Healthy, Be Active, Be You!”

Meanwhile, if you had used the Google search engine today, you would have seen this ↓ instead of the traditional logo:

cesar_chavezs_86th_birthday-1114005-hp

So who is that man?

On the Google search results page, if you place your cursor on the second “o” of “Google,” you’ll see this:

Cesar Chavez’s 86th Birthday

Yes. Instead of remembering the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, Google chooses instead to commemorate what would have been the 86th birthday of a Marxist union organizer (United Farm Workers Union). Chavez died 20 years ago, in 1993.

Some Christians are calling for a boycott of Google.

Seriously, if you’re still Googling, you should know that Google not only keeps track of all your searches, the company also “helpfully” makes its data available to the feral [sic] government.

Please use these alternatives to Google instead:

  1. Ixquick
  2. DuckDuckGo
  3. Bing

Both Ixquick and DuckDuckGo are “private” search engines that don’t track your Internet searches. Bing is owned by Microsoft.

America is still a Christian nation.

But America’s political and cultural elites are not just no longer Christian, they are virulently anti-Christian.

Twinkies return expected by summer, new Hostess owner says.

Keep your stinking hands off my Twinkies or you will find out what the 2nd Amendment is really for.

                       ~Steve~

Twinkies and other Hostess snacks could be back on store shelves by this summer. The winning bid of 410 million dollars went to Apollo Global Management and Metropoulos and Company.
The new owner of Hostess Brands Inc’s snack cakes hopes to have Twinkies back on U.S. store shelves by this summer, according to a member of the purchasing group.

“Our family is thrilled to have the opportunity to reestablish these iconic brands with new creative marketing ideas and renewed sales efforts and investment,” Daren Metropoulos, a principal at his family’s private equity firm, told Reuters in an email on Tuesday.
“We look forward to having America‘s favorite snacks back on the shelf by this summer.”

Daren’s father, Dean Metropoulos, teamed up with Apollo Global Management to offer $410 million for Twinkies and other snack cakes. Their offer was to serve as the minimum offer for the business but no other bidders emerged.
Besides the iconic Twinkie, Hostess’ snack cake line also includes cakes, which include CupCakes, Ding Dongs and Ho Hos.
News of their winning offer was revealed late on Monday in a court filing.

Just me and Leroy

STOP

A guy stopped at a local gas station, and after filling his tank, he paid the bill and bought a soft drink. He stood by his car to drink his cola and watched a couple of men working along the roadside.

One man would dig a hole two or three feet deep and then move on. The other man came along behind him and filled in the hole. While one was digging a new hole, the other was 25 feet behind filling in the hole.

The men worked right past the guy with the soft drink and went on down the road.

"I can't stand this," said the man, tossing the can into a trash container and headed down the road toward the workers. "Hold it, hold it," he said to the men. "Can you tell me what's going on here with all this digging and refilling?"

“Well, we work for the government and we’re just doing our job,” one of the workers said.

“But one of you is digging a hole and the other fills it up. You’re not accomplishing anything. Aren’t you wasting the taxpayers’ money?”

“You don’t understand, mister,” one of the workers said, leaning on his shovel and wiping his brow. “Normally there’s three of us: me, Elmer and Leroy. I dig the hole, Elmer sticks in the tree, and Leroy here puts the dirt back. Elmer’s job’s been cut … so now it’s jus’ me an’ Leroy.”

“We’re here to help you.” That’s government for ya! :D

A Speech Every American High School Principal Should Give

This is a speech that Dennis Prager  ( Radio Talk show Host)  gave.  He did not deliver to a school audience, just as a monologue on his show one night.

dennis prager

He said this would be first speech he would give if he was a principal.

By Dennis Prager,

To the students and faculty of our high school:

I am your new principal, and honored to be so.

There is no greater calling than to teach young people. I would like to apprise you of some important changes coming to our school. I am making these changes because I am convinced that most of the  ideas
that have dominated public education in America have worked against you, against your teachers and against our country.

First, this school will no longer honor race or ethnicity. I could not care less if your racial makeup is black, brown, red, yellow or white. I could not care less if your origins are African, Latin American, Asian or European, or if your ancestors arrived here on the Mayflower or on slave ships. The only identity I care about, the only one this school will recognize, is your individual identity — your character, your scholarship, your humanity. And the only national identity this school will care about is American.

This is an American public  school, and American public schools were created to make better Americans. If you wish to affirm an ethnic, racial or religious identity through school, you will have to go elsewhere. We will end all ethnicity, race and non-American nationality-based celebrations. They undermine the motto of America , one of its three central values –
epluribus Unum, “from many, one.” And this school will be guided by America’s values. This includes all after-school clubs. I will not authorize clubs that divide students based on any identities. This includes race, language, religion, sexual orientation or whatever else may become in vogue in a society divided by political correctness.

Your clubs will be based on interests and passions, not blood, ethnic, racial or other physically defined ties. Those clubs just cultivate narcissism — an unhealthy preoccupation with the self — while the purpose of  education is to get you to think beyond yourself. So we will have clubs that transport you to the wonders and glories of art, music, astronomy, languages you do not already speak, carpentry and more. If the only extracurricular activities you can imagine being interested in are those based on ethnic, racial or sexual identity, that means that little outside of yourself really interests you.

Second, I am uninterested in whether English is your native language. My only interest in terms of language is that you leave this school speaking and writing English as fluently as possible. The English language has united America ‘s citizens for over 200 years, and it will unite us at this school. It is one of the indispensable reasons this country of immigrants has always come to be one country. And if you  leave this school without excellent English language skills, I would be remiss in my duty to ensure that you will be prepared to successfully compete in the American job market. We will learn other languages here — it is deplorable that most Americans only speak English — but if you want classes taught in your native language rather than in English, this is not your school.

Third, because I regard learning as a sacred endeavor , everything in this school will reflect learning’s elevated status. This means, among other things, that you and your teachers will dress accordingly. Many people in our society dress more formally for Hollywood events than for church or school. These people have their priorities backward. Therefore, there will be a formal dress code at this school.

Fourth, no obscene language will be tolerated anywhere on this school’s property — whether in class, in the hallways or at athletic events. If you can’t speak without using the f -word, you can’t speak. By obscene language, I mean the words banned by the Federal Communications Commission, plus epithets such as “Nigger,” even when used by one black student to address another black, or “bitch,” even when addressed by a girl to a girlfriend. It is my intent that by the time you leave this school, you will be among the few your age to instinctively distinguish between the elevated and the degraded, the holy and the obscene.

Fifth, we will end all self-esteem programs. In this school, self-esteem
will be attained in only one way — the way people attained it until decided
otherwise a generation ago — by earning it. One immediate consequence is
that there will be one valedictorian, not eight.

Sixth, and last, I am reorienting the school toward academics and away from politics and propaganda. No more time will be devoted to scaring you about smoking and caffeine, or terrifying you about sexual harassment or global warming. No more semesters will be devoted to condom wearing and teaching you to regard sexual relations as only or primarily a health issue… There will be no more attempts to convince you that you are a victim because you are not white, or not male, or not heterosexual or not Christian. We will have failed if any one of you  graduates this school and does not consider him or herself inordinately fortunate — to be alive and to be an American.

Now, please stand and join me in the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag of
our country. As many of you do not know the words, your teachers will hand them out to you.

Furthermore the speech has been checked out at truth or fiction below.

Labor unions feel betrayed by Obamacare

A scorpion and a frog meet on the bank of a stream and the
scorpion asks the frog to carry him across on its back.

The frog asks, “How do I know you won’t sting me?” The scorpion
says, “Because if I do, I will die too.”

The frog is satisfied, and they set out, but in midstream,
the scorpion stings the frog. The frog feels the onset of
paralysis and starts to sink, knowing they both will drown,
but has just enough time to gasp “Why?”

Replies the scorpion: “It’s my nature…”

scorpion & frog

Employees of scorpion Al Gore’s Current TV discovered, too late, the righteous-spewing global warmist is a hypocrite.

Now labor unions also discover, too late, that they’ve been betrayed by scorpion Obama.

Tyler Durden writes for ZeroHedge, Jan. 31, 2013, that the same labor unions who enthusiastically had supported Obamacare now realize – Suprise! — their healthcare plan costs are about to go up. And, as the WSJ puts it, they are now “turning sour”:

Union leaders say many of the law’s requirements will drive up the costs for their health-care plans and make unionized workers less competitive. Among other things, the law eliminates the caps on medical benefits and prescription drugs used as cost-containment measures in many health-care plans. It also allows children to stay on their parents’ plans until they turn 26. [...]

The Sheet Metal Workers International Association helped push for passage of the health law. Mr. Beall said he still believes everyone should have health insurance, but worries the law is undermining the union’s ability to offer coverage.

“If we’re not offering our members insurance and pension, why would you want to be union?” he asked.

The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 of Countryside, Ill., which represents construction workers and insures about 65,000 people, is also examining whether some lower-earning workers would eventually be better off leaving the union-sponsored plan and instead getting federally subsidized insurance.

“I’ve told my members, as this evolves, your health care will not look like it does today,” said James Sweeney, president and business manager of the local. “I have to cut it back.”

John Wilhelm, chairman of Unite Here Health, the insurance plan for 260,000 union workers at places including hotels, casinos and airports, feels betrayed.

He recalls standing next to Barack Obama at a rally in Nevada when he was a 2008 presidential candidate.

“I heard him say, ‘If you like your health plan, you can keep it,’ ” Mr. Wilhelm recalled. Mr. Wilhelm said he expects the administration will craft a solution so that employer health-care plans won’t be hurt. “If I’m wrong, and the president does not intend to keep his word, I would have severe second thoughts about the law.”

But it’s not just labor unions who now realize they’ve been gypped. The WSJ continues:

Employers and consumers across the country will see big changes under the health law, which goes into full effect next year. Insurers will no longer be able to deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions. Most individuals will be taxed if they don’t carry insurance, and employers with at least 50 workers will face a fine if they don’t provide it. About 30 million Americans are expected to gain insurance under the law.

In fact, the Washington Times reports Obamacare will push 7 million people out of their job-based insurance coverage — nearly twice the previous estimate, according to the latest estimates from the Congressional Budget Office released yesterday, Feb. 5, 2013.

But does this mean labor unions will stop voting for the POS and stop voting Democrat?

Not likely.

Just as it’s the nature of deceiving manipulative scorpions to behave like deceiving manipulative scorpions, it’s the nature of stupid servile delusional frogs to behave like stupid servile delusional frogs.

To all the labor union leaders and rank-and-file, I suggest you look up the definition and meaning of the expression “Useful Idiot“!

Daimler Chrysler to lay off 1,300 workers

To set the proper mood, please click on the YouTube below before you read the rest of this post, especially beginning at the 2:28 mark!

During the 2012 campaign on March 8, with great fanfare, Obama made a visit to the Daimler-Chrysler Trucks North America factory in Mount Holly, NC, to trumpet the good news of the ECONOMIC RECOVERY.

In preparation for his highness’ visit, workers planted shrubs at the silver sign that displays the company’s name.

Mt Holly

Before an adoring audience of United Auto Workers members (see photo below), local dignitaries, local and national media and the trucking trade press, the POS congratulated Daimler on the production of its 1,000th Freightliner natural gas truck, and for adding 1,000 workers to the plant last year, many of whom had been laid off during the recession. He promised that the federal government will help communities that buy vehicles powered by alternative energy to “cut through the red tape and build fueling stations nearby.”

Mount Holly NC

Yesterday, FOTM received this email from a reader C.Y.:

“I work at the Daimler Chrysler/Detroit Diesel co. in Cambridge, Ohio. It was just announced to us at 1:45 p.m. EST that Daimler Chrysler trucks gave legal warning that 1300 employees would be laid-off in their U.S companies (Mt. Holly, NC, and another plant in Oregon). These employees were hired in the mid 2012 campaign year! Obama VISITED the Mt. Holly plant (with press coverage!) to tout his “recovering economy” & “jobs creation”!!!!!!!!!!

I can confirm what C.Y. wrote is true.

Emery P. Dalesio reports for the AP, Jan. 29, 2013:

Daimler Trucks North America said Tuesday it was warning thousands of workers that potentially large layoffs could be coming at manufacturing plants in North Carolina, South Carolina, Oregon and Mexico. The company said in a statement that it was notifying production workers about the layoffs two months in advance, in compliance with federal law.

Portland, Ore.-based Daimler Trucks employs about 20,000 workers building Freightliner and Western Star trucks, Thomas Built school buses, along with engines and parts. The unit is a division of Stuttgart, Germany-based Daimler AG.

It was a year ago that the company’s Freightliner long-distance truck plant in Cleveland said it would recall about 1,100 workers. The factory said it needed the manpower because demand in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand and South Africa was improving. Increased need for trucks indicated companies and consumers were buying more products and homes since “America moves on trucks,” Daimler Trucks chief operating officer Roger Nielsen said then.

But Daimler Trucks said last summer it had rehired only about half its stated goal for the Cleveland plant because demand had not materialized as forecast.

How are y’all liking the Obama Hope-’n-Change?

FORWARD! — into the abyss!

Streaking teacher first to be fired under NJ’s new tenure law

BringhurstMark C. Binghurst (Source of photo: The Daily Journal)

Behavior has consequences.

A 5th-grade teacher in New Jersey, who was arrested for lewdness after running naked through an apartment parking lot, became the first successful test case of the state’s new teacher tenure law enabling a speedier firing of errant teachers. In the past, tenure cases had dragged on for a year or more.

Winslow school

Diane D’Amico reports for PressOfAtlanticCity, Dec. 13, 2012, that Mark C. Bringhurst was a fifth-grade teacher at the Winslow Elementary School in Vineland, NJ (photo above), for about eight years, and was its Teacher of the Year for 2011-12.

On March 21, Bringhurst was arrested by Berlin Township police in Camden County and charged with lewdness after running naked through the Greenway Apartments parking lot. According to the police report cited in the case, Bringhurst said it was the second time he had done so, both times on a dare, but he did not expect anyone to see him. The case was heard in municipal court, and in July the charges were amended to “acting in an improper manner” to which Bringhurst pleaded guilty.

The Vineland school district on June 27 notified Bringhurst that tenure charges would be brought before the local board of education, which held a hearing on Oct. 18. In his decision posted on the Department of Education web site Dec. 5, arbitrator Robert C. Gifford said Bringhurst exercised very poor judgment on more than one occasion, and his lack of judgement is not diminished by the fact that the conduct occurred outside of school: “The respondent’s actions are simply not consistent with the conduct that a fifth-grade elementary teacher must display, whether in or out of the classroom.” Gifford concluded that the penalty of dismissal was justifiable and reasonable.

The arbitrator’s decision does not affect Bringhurst’s teaching license or his ability to teach in another district. The decision to revoke his license would be made separately by the state Board of Examiners.

Bringhurst’s attorney, Robert Bowman, said he thought the arbitration process was “fair and expeditious” and “brought resolution in a timely manner.” Representatives of both the state teacher’s union and the school boards association said the new procedure protected Bringhurst’s right of due process while resolving the case in a timely manner. It took less than four months from the time charges were filed with the state.

State Department of Education officials said the case was the first to be handled under the new arbitration system, and there are currently 31 additional active tenure cases statewide.

The binding arbitration system is part of the new state TEACHNJ tenure reform law and was included to make it easier for school districts to terminate tenured teachers.

Prior contested tenure cases had gone through the administrative court system and had often taken a year to resolve. The New Jersey Education Association proposed an arbitration system to make sure tenured teachers could not be arbitrarily fired and would still have the right of due process. Under the new law, signed by Gov. Chris Christie on Aug. 6, a hearing must be held within 45 days of a contested tenure case being assigned.

As of this morning, Mark Bringhurst is still listed as a member of Winslow Elementary School’s faculty.

Best and worst states for homeschooling

We are told America is “home of the free and the brave.”

The last time I checked, no where in the U.S. Constitution does it say that Americans are compelled to send our children to dysfunctional public government schools, run by the NEA teachers’ union that recommends to its members a book dedicated to Satan.

And yet, since education is regulated by the states, if parents choose to teach their children themselves, they should know that 4o of America’s 50 states put restrictions on homeschooling, ranging from the mildest (parents must notify the state of their homeschooling) to the most onerous, including home visits by government officials.

The non-profit homeschool advocate organization HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association) has a map showing which states fall into which of the following four categories:

  • States requiring no notice: No state requirement for parents to initiate any contact
  • States with low regulation: State requires parental notification only.
  • States with moderate regulation: State requires parents to send notification, test scores, and/or professional evaluation of student progress.
  • State with high regulation: State requires parents to send notification or achievement test scores and/or professional evaluation, plus other requirements (e.g. curriculum approval by the state, teacher qualification of parents, or home visits by state officials).

Here are the 10 freest states for home schooling (in green):

  1. Alaska
  2. Connecticut
  3. Idaho
  4. Illinois
  5. Indiana
  6. Michigan
  7. Missouri
  8. New Jersey
  9. Oklahoma

Here are the 6 least free states for home schooling (in red):

  1. Massachusetts
  2. New York
  3. North Dakota
  4. Pennsylvania
  5. Rhode Island
  6. Vermont

I guess we should be glad that homeschooling is still legal in all 50 states, although I doubt that will remain so for long.

College slashes instructors’ hours to avoid Obamacare

What a surprise!

No matter the machination of Big Government, Americans have a mind of our own and will do what we need to preserve our self interest.

That is exactly what businesses across America are doing — slashing their employees’ hours and firing them altogether, in order to avoid the juggernaut called Obamacare that’s coming their way. As an example, last month Orlando-based Darden Restaurants stopped offering full-time schedules to many hourly workers in at least a few Olive Gardens, Red Lobsters and LongHorn Steakhouses.

The latest is a Pennsylvania community college that’s slashing its already low-paid instructors’ hours to avoid Obamacare.

Wynton Hall reports for Bretibart.com, Nov. 21, 2012:

Pennsylvania’s Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) is slashing the hours of 400 adjunct instructors, support staff, and part-time instructors to dodge paying for Obamacare.

“It’s kind of a double whammy for us because we are facing a legal requirement [under the new law] to get health care and if the college is reducing our hours, we don’t have the money to pay for it,” said adjunct biology professor Adam Davis.

On Tuesday, CCAC employees were notified that Obamacare defines full-time employees as those working 30 hours or more per week and that on Dec. 31 temporary part-time employees will be cut back to 25 hours. The move will save an estimated $6 million.

“While it is of course the college’s preference to provide coverage to these positions, there simply are not funds available to do so,” said CCAC spokesperson David Hoovler. “Several years of cuts or largely flat funding from our government supporters have led to significant cost reductions by CCAC, leaving little room to trim the college’s budget further.”

The solution, says United Steelworkers representative Jeff Cech, is that adjunct professors should unionize in an attempt to thwart schools seeking similar cost-savings efforts from avoiding Obamacare. “They may be complying with the letter of the law, but the letter of law and the spirit of the law are two different things,” said Mr. Cech. “If they are doing it at CCAC, it can’t be long before they do it other places.”

Under the new CCAC policy, adjunct professors will only be allowed to teach 10 credit hours a semester. Adjuncts are paid $730 per credit hour.

“We all know we are expendable,” said Mr. Davis, “and there are plenty of people out there in this economy who would be willing to have our jobs.”

I can’t help but wonder how many of Community College of Allegheny County’s instructors, whose hours are now cut, had voted for Obama on Nov. 6?
