Liberal Tyranny: Praying for homosexuals is “hate”

Remember my post of May 22, on an internal document of President Lucifer’s Department of Justice (DOJ) titled “LGBT Inclusion at Work: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Managers”?

The document puts managers on notice that if they react with silence to an employee coming out as LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transsexual), their “silence will be interpreted as disapproval.” In other words, the only acceptable behavior toward LGBTs is no longer just tolerance or acceptance, nothing less than our vocal OUTSPOKEN APPROVAL will do.

Homosexuals are calling Amber Dee Parker’s God Made Dad & Mom, the children’s picture book described in the video, as “teaching kids to hate LGBT families” and an attack on “LGBT equality.”

In an article for the gay publication Advocate, titled “New Antigay Children’s Book Teaches Kids to Hate LGBT Families,” Jase Pepples writes:

A new picture book by Amber Dee Parker and Hannah Sequra attempts to battle messages of LGBT equality with a warm and fuzzy brand of hatred, reports Good as You.

Endorsed by the American Family Association, God Made Dad & Mom tells the story of a young boy named Michael who prays for his classmate Jimmy and his two dads to learn “the truth” about how God made them after a trip to the zoo where he’s told all animal families “consist of a male, a female, and their offspring.”

Yup. To the enraged Left, praying for our neighbors is now a form of hate.

But selling Baby Jesus butt-plugs and religious dildos isn’t hate.

An attribute of pathological narcissists is that they “require excessive admiration” (American Psychological Association’s DSM IV). That is why narcissists overreact with rage to any perceived criticism. Nothing less than 100% approval will do.

In his seminal essay, “On Narcissism,” Sigmund Freud observed that all human beings, when they are children, go through a period of “primary narcissism”: The child is the most important object and the center of his/her universe. Most of us grow out of that early narcissism to a healthy adulthood. In some cases, however, their psychological development is disrupted and stunted, and so they remain stuck in primary narcissism — now a pathological form of excessive self-regard and self-absorption. Freud understood homosexuality as being an example of pathological narcissism in adulthood.

Cardinal Giacomo Biffi had warned that “The attacks on freedom of thought start with language. Those who do not resign themselves to accept ‘homophilia’ … are charged with ‘homophobia’.” Freudianism is no longer the flavor-of-the-month in psychology. But the DOJ’s Orwellian document and the LGBT reaction to a little children’s picture book would suggest that Freud was right.

Obama’s DOJ demands outspoken approval of homosexuality

Writing for Townhall.com, May 20, 2013, Matt Barber brings to our attention an internal document of the Department of Justice (DOJ), which reeks of the thought tyranny of George Orwell’s prescient Nineteen Eighty Four.

Barber is a constitutional law attorney, the Vice President of Liberty Counsel Action, and the Associate Dean and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law at Liberty University School of law.

The DOJ document, titled “LGBT Inclusion at Work: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Managers,” was created by DOJ Pride, the Association of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Employees of the U.S. Department of Justice and Their Allies.

The document, emailed to DOJ managers in advance of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month, was leaked to the Liberty Counsel by whistleblowers within the DOJ.

As Barber notes, “The document is chilling. It’s riddled with directives that grossly violate – prima facie –employees’ First Amendment [right of freedom of speech] liberties.”

The document “LGBT Inclusion at Work” provides a litany of Do’s and Don’ts to DOJ managers, such as the following relatively benign instructions:

• Do use inclusive words like “partner,” “significant other” or “spouse” rather than gender-specific terms like “husband” and “wife.”
• Do speak up against derogatory jokes or comments when you hear them.
• Do use a transgender person’s chosen name and the pronoun that is consistent with the person’s self-identified gender.
• Don’t assume all employees are (or a particular employee is) heterosexual.
• Don’t use words and phrases like “gay lifestyle,” “sexual preference,” or “tranny” that are considered by many as offensive.

In all, there are 19 Do’s and 5 Don’ts, among them are some that are far from benign but are downright sinister, reeking of Thought Police. They include:

• Do assume that LGBT employees and their allies are listening to what you’re saying (whether in a meeting or around the proverbial water cooler) and will read what you’re writing (whether in a casual email or in a formal document), and make sure the language you use is inclusive and respectful.
• Do “Attend LGBT events sponsored by DOJ Pride and/or the Department, and invite (but don’t require) others to join you.”
• Do “Display a symbol in your office (DOJ Pride sticker, copy of this brochure, etc.) indicating that it is a ‘safe space.’”
• Concerning how to respond if an employee comes out to you, the DOJ document states: “Don’t judge or remain silent. Silence will be interpreted as disapproval.”

In other words, the only acceptable behavior toward lesbians, gays, bisexuals, and transgenders is no longer just tolerance or acceptance, they now demand OUTSPOKEN (verbalized) APPROVAL.

As Barber, an attorney, observes:

That’s a threat. And not even a subtle one.

Got it? For Christians and other morals-minded federal employees, it’s no longer enough to just shut up and [...] live your life in silent recognition of biblical principles (which, by itself, is unlawful constraint). When it comes to mandatory celebration of homosexual and cross-dressing behaviors, “silence will be interpreted as disapproval.”

This lawless administration is now bullying federal employees – against their will – to affirm sexual behaviors that every major world religion, thousands of years of history and uncompromising human biology reject.

Somewhere, right now, George Orwell is smiling. [...]

Is this the DOJ or the KGB? “[A]ssume that LGBT employees are listening …”? And what are “LGBT allies”? If you disagree with the homosexual activist political agenda, does that make you the enemy?

Yes, in any workplace, language should remain professional, but who defines what’s “inclusive”? Who decides what’s “respectful”? If asked about “LGBT issues,” for instance, can a Christian employee answer honestly: “I believe the Bible. I believe that God designed sex to be shared between husband and wife within the bonds of marriage”? Or is that grounds for termination?

[...] Are you kidding? Does this administration really think it’s legal to induce managers to “attend LGBT events,” or to “display pride stickers” against their will? That’s compulsory expression. That’s viewpoint discrimination.

That’s unconstitutional.

[...] This “DOJ Pride” directive is but the latest example of the “progressive” climate of fear and intimidation this radical Obama regime has created for Christians, conservatives and other values-oriented folks, both within and without the workplace.

Christ is God in the flesh nailed to the Cross. He is the God who wept and slept, who ate food, and who sweated in the Garden of Gethsemane. The images of the Holy Spirit, on the other hand, are of a radically different character: tongues of fire, the heavenly wind, the dove that flies away.

In Christ, we touch and see God. The Holy Spirit, on the other hand, seems to be God intangible. But Scripture also speaks of the Holy Spirit in terms that assure us of His definite presence in our midst. [...]

Creation: The Little Red Rose

There are FOUR clusters of little red roses; each cluster is a separate plant.

That’s the little red rose that followed me 200 miles, about which I first wrote in October 2011. (Please click here to read that account!)

Six years ago, when I moved from my townhouse in a city 200 miles away to join my husband, I took my many pots of flowering plants (mainly roses) with me. But I had to abandon two little red rose plants because they grew in the ground.

Two years after I moved here, the little red rose miraculously sprang up in a large pot of mauve-colored roses (#1). Then, another little red rose shot up in a pot of salmon-colored roses 2 feet away (#2). Then the little red rose somehow managed to propagate itself across a brick path (see composite pic below) to yet another pot of pink-colored roses (#3). Then, a little red rose began sprouting from the ground (#4), then in yet another pot (#5), then across the brick path again to a pot of yellow-colored roses (#6).

Six years ago, I was in anguish because I thought I was abandoning the little red rose to certain death.

But the little red rose didn’t abandon me.

And now it’s the dominant rose in the garden!

“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.” (Matthew 6:28-29)

For our God is a loving God. May He be praised!

The other side of death

This is the most beautiful explanation of death.

Ever.

A sick man turned to his doctor as he was preparing to leave the examination room and said, “Doctor, I am afraid to die. Tell me what lies on the other side.”

Very quietly, the doctor said, “I don’t know.”

The sick man was beside himself, sputtering, “You don’t know? You’re a Christian man, and you don’t know what’s on the other side?”

The doctor was holding the handle of the door. On the other side came a sound of scratching and whining, and as he opened the door, a dog sprang into the room and leaped on him with eagerness and joy.

Turning to the patient, the doctor said:

“Did you notice my dog?

He’s never been in this room before. He didn’t know what was inside. He knew nothing except that his master was here, and when the door opened, he sprang in without fear.

I know little of what is on the other side of death. But I do know one thing. I know my Master is there and that is enough….”

Report: IRS denied tax-exempt status to pro-lifers on behalf of Planned Parenthood

IRS officials refused to grant tax exempt status to two pro-life organizations because of their position on the abortion issue, according to a non-profit law firm, which said that one group was pressured not to protest a pro-choice organization that endorsed President Obama during the last election.

“In one case, the IRS withheld approval of an application for tax exempt status for Coalition for Life of Iowa. In a phone call to Coalition for Life of Iowa leaders on June 6, 2009, the IRS agent ‘Ms. Richards’ told the group to send a letter to the IRS with the entire board’s signatures stating that, under perjury of the law, they do not picket/protest or organize groups to picket or protest outside of Planned Parenthood,” the Thomas More Society announced today. “Once the IRS received this letter, their application would be approved.”

Planned Parenthood endorsed Obama in 2008 and 2012.

The IRS also pressured another pro-life group about its religious activities. “The IRS withheld approval of an application for charitable tax-exempt recognition of Christian Voices for Life, questioning the group’s involvement with ’40 Days for Life’ and ‘Life Chain’ events,” according to the law firm. “The Fort Bend County, Texas, organization was subjected to repeated and lengthy unconstitutional requests for information about the viewpoint and content of its educational communications, volunteer prayer vigils, and other protected activities.”

The IRS admitted last week to that some members of the agency targeted Tea Party groups for discriminatory reviews of their applications for tax-exempt status. The Justice Department has initiated a criminal investigation into the matter.

Please pray for our Dave

Update (May 16):

Last night, Dave’s dad passed away — quietly and peacefully.

Dave asks me to thank everyone who prayed for his dad and his family. He wants you to know that all your prayers helped a great deal.

He asks that we continue to pray for his mom — dad and mom had been married for nearly 64 years.

Please keep Dave in your prayers as well. His mom is also seriously ill, and Dave himself has diabetes.

Dave, one of FOTM’s writers, needs your prayers.

Dave’s dad has Alzheimer’s disease. About a week ago, he fell down the stairs and was taken to emergency hospital. He was kept in ICU for a while, then was released, after the doctors determined he did not have a stroke.

But now, Dave’s dad has stopped eating and is being kept (barely) alive with IV fluid. He will be moved to a hospice today or tomorrow.

Dave, who has diabetes, has been caring for his dad and his mom (who’s also ailing) for several years now.

Please say a prayer for Dave’s dad, and also for Dave — that the peace and strength of our Lord, Jesus, be with them both.

The jury deliberating in the capital murder trial against former Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell says they’re hung on two counts.

The jury of seven women and five men are weighing more than 250 charges against the Gosnell with the most serious being four counts of first-degree murder.

It is currently unclear on which charges the jury is deadlocked, but the group told the court it has reached unanimous decisions on all other counts.

Around 10:00 a.m. Monday, the jury passed a note to Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey P. Minehart explaining their situation. The admission came on the 10th day of deliberations.

By law, according to attorneys for both sides, Judge Minehart is required to re-instruct the jury to deliberate on the two charges a second time and attempt to reach a verdict.

Around 10:00 a.m. Monday, the jury passed a note to Common Pleas Judge Jeffrey P. Minehart explaining their situation. The admission came on the 10th day of deliberations.

By law, according to attorneys for both sides, Judge Minehart is required to re-instruct the jury to deliberate on the two charges a second time and attempt to reach a verdict.

udge Minehart brought the jury into the courtroom on the third-floor of the Philadelphia Criminal Justice Center around 11:15 a.m.

Over a five minute meeting, he reminded the jury they must be unanimous on all counts and asked the group to return to the jury room and discuss the charges further. The group was grim-faced as they were led from the court.

Judge Minehart called the jury sincere, considerate and serious. The judge also said he wanted to make sure the group was not confused over the charges.

The jury now has three options: return to court with a question, request to re-examine evidence to try and break the deadlock or re-iterate they’ll be unable to reach a consensus on the charges.

Gosnell faces four counts of first-degree murder for his alleged role in the deaths of four babies. Prosecutors allege Gosnell delivered the babies alive during abortion procedures and then snipped their spinal cords with scissors to end their life.

The 72-year-old is also charged with third-degree murder in the of former patient Karnamaya Mongar.

Mongar, 41, died after she was given a lethal dose of pain killers and anesthesia during a 2009 abortion procedure at Gosnell’s West Philadelphia clinic, the Women’s Medical Society.

The former doctor’s defense attorney has argued Gosnell would inject a drug into his patients’ uterus to stop the fetuses’ hearts before they were delivered.

The majority of the 268 charges levied against Gosnell are related to alleged Pennsylvania abortion-law violations. Prosecutors say Gosnell regularly performed late-term abortions on babies older than 24 weeks — the cutoff age in Pennsylvania.

Jurors are also deliberating a handful of crimes against Gosnell’s co-defendant Eileen O’Neill. Prosecutors say O’Neill deceived patients and insurance companies by pretending to be a licensed physician and billing for those services.

Her defense has said while O’Neill was not licensed, she did have a medical degree and would always have Gosnell sign off on her recommendations and prescriptions. O’Neill’s attorney also said there is no evidence of the 56-year-old charging for her services.

The trial, which began on March 18, stretched on for nearly two months before being handed off to the jury.

The alleged crimes came to light on February 10, 2010 after investigators from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Drug Enforcement Agency raided the inner-city clinic at 3801 Lancaster Avenue following a tip that a prescription pill mill was operating inside.

Agents were met, not with an illegal narcotics drug operation, but rather, unsanitary conditions. Investigators testified they found blood-stained rooms, filthy and old equipment and untrained staff. Aborted fetuses were stored in a basement freezer in plastic food containers and bags next to employee lunches. Severed feet from aborted babies were found preserved in jars around the clinic.

The conditions found inside the clinic led Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams to call the clinic a “house of horrors” in a 2011 grand jury report.

If convicted of first-degree murder, Gosnell faces the death penalty.

Jiggs McDonald, NHL Hall of Fame broadcaster speaking in Orillia, Ontario, says, “I am truly perplexed that so many of my friends are against another mosque being built in Toronto. I think it should be the goal of every Canadian to be tolerant regardless of their religious beliefs. Thus the mosque should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance.”

“That is why I also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque, thereby promoting tolerance from within the mosque. We could call one of the clubs, a gay club, ‘The Turban Cowboy,’ and the other a topless bar called ‘You Mecca Me Hot.’”

“Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork, and adjacent to that an open-pit barbecue pork restaurant, called ‘Iraq o’ Ribs.’”

“Across the street there could be a lingerie store called ‘Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret,’ with sexy mannequins in the window modeling the goods.”

“Next door to the lingerie shop there would be room for an adult sex toyshop, ‘Koranal Knowledge’ its name in flashing neon lights, and on the other side a liquor store called ‘Morehammered.’”

“All of this would encourage Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of us, so their mosque issue would not be a problem for others.”
