DHS training video depicts gun-owning militia as terrorists

Jihadist Muslims perpetrated countless terrorist attacks in the United States, from 9/11 to to the 4/15 Boston Marathon bombings, but you wouldn’t know that from the Obama regime’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS). For President Lucifer, it’s gun-owners and Christians who are the extremist terrorists.

Patriot News Organization has uncovered a DHS training video that is in the format of a (fake) TV “Special Report” depicting a SWAT team descending on a home to arrest an “extremist” militia who owned “illegal firearms” and were “planning terrorism.”

Note that:

• Militias are perfectly lawful Constitutional groups. In fact, the American Revolution for independence was begun by militias.
  
• The militia in the DHS video hadn’t actually committed a terrorist act, but were arrested for “illegal” gun ownership.

The YouTube channel Patriot News Organization on Thursday uploaded a training video from the Department of Homeland Security that depicts a fake news broadcast about a police SWAT team raiding an American house and arresting “extremist” members of a “local militia group” for possession of illegal firearms and planning to commit terrorist attacks.

“Very disturbing video straight from DHS website – they use it to help train all of the deputized agencies during a crisis, even hospital administrators, media faces, everything and everyone that would be involved in such an event,” reads the Patriot News Organization’s description of the video.

Exactly when the video was made is unclear, but the video description links to a DHS website featuring documents that were uploaded in 2009 and 2012.

In the video, a fake local news anchor comes on the screen with breaking news.

“Reports of possible illegal activity by a local militia group appears to have spurred law enforcement into action,” the anchor says.

The video then cuts to “John Gleason” at the site in front of a house with fake fire fighters and SWAT officers swarming the area.

“This is the scene of an intensive investigation into the operations of an extremist group reportedly planning a series of terrorist attacks on U.S. cities,” Gleason says. “Details are sketchy, but allegedly the militia was using this house to store a cache of military weapons.”

While he says this, an image of an officer dressed in explosive-proof gear is shown heading into the house.

Gleason then says that the FBI and “other agencies” are on the scene, and that police raided the house of two men for “illegal possession of firearms, but they apparently found more than they were bargaining for.” As Gleason says this, SWAT officers are shown hauling two typical looking men from the house.

“Get him out of here!” an officer is heard shouting, and another one runs toward the cameraman waving his hand and shouting, “backup, backup, backup!” and the video ends.

The DHS has long been suspected of gearing up to fight Americans. The agency has released documents describing conservatives, libertarians, people who distrust the federal government, people who oppose illegal immigration, who oppose the Federal Reserve and who support gun rights, among other things, as potential terrorists and “domestic extremists.”

The agency has further stoked fears by purchasing nearly 2 billion rounds of mostly hollow point ammunition, 7,000 fully automatic assault rifles, nearly 3,000 mine-resistant MRAP vehicles and $2 million worth of paper targets depicting Americans, including women and children.

Last month, Arkansas State Fusion Center Director Richard Davis admitted that the DHS spies on “anti-government” Americans.

While trying to clear up “misconceptions” that the agency is spying on all Americans, he admitted that they only observe “domestic terrorism and certain groups that are anti-government. We want to kind of take a look at that and receive that information.”

Why were Catholic priests turned away from Boston bombing victims?

One of the most moving images from 9/11 is this photo of New York firefighters, a policeman, and two civilians carrying the body of Father Mychal Judge amidst the choking dust and debris of what, just moments ago, had been the World Trade Center.

Mychal F. Judge, OFM, was a Roman Catholic priest of the Franciscan Order and a chaplain of the Fire Department of New York. Judge was also the first certified fatality of the September 11, 2001 attacks.

Upon hearing the news that the World Trade Center had been hit, Judge rushed to the site where he administered the last rites to the dead and dying, as well as offered aid and prayers for the rescuers, the injured and dead. When the South Tower collapsed at 9:59 am, debris went flying through the North Tower lobby, killing many inside, including Judge.

Then was then, and now is now.

Twelve years after 9/11 at the site of another terrorist attack — the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15, 2013 — instead of being welcomed to administer last rites and comfort the injured, priests were turned away.

Jennifer Graham writes for the Wall Street Journal, April 25, 2013, that the heart-wrenching photographs taken in the moments after the Boston Marathon bombings show the blue-and-yellow jackets of volunteers, police officers, fire fighters, emergency medical technicians, even a three-foot-high blue M&M. Conspicuously absent are any clerical collars or images of pastoral care.

This was not for lack of proximity. Close to the bombing site are Trinity Episcopal Church, Old South Church and St. Clement Eucharistic Shrine, all on Boylston Street. When the priests at St. Clement’s, three blocks away, heard the explosions, they gathered sacramental oils and hurried to the scene in hopes of anointing the injured and, if necessary, administering last rites, the final of seven Catholic sacraments. But the priests, who belong to the order Oblates of the Virgin Mary, weren’t allowed at the scene.

The Rev. John Wykes, director of the St. Francis Chapel at Boston’s soaring Prudential Center, and the Rev. Tom Carzon, rector of Our Lady of Grace Seminary, were among the priests who were turned away right after the bombings.

It was jarring for Father Wykes, who, as a hospital chaplain in Illinois a decade ago, was never denied access to crime or accident scenes. He said, “I was allowed to go anywhere. In Boston, I don’t have that access. Priests are no longer considered to be emergency responders.”

Father Carzon, the seminary rector, said he was “disappointed” when he wasn’t allowed at the scene of the bombing. “Once it was clear we couldn’t get inside, we came back here to St. Clement’s, set up a table with water and oranges and bananas to serve people, and helped people however we could.” By that point, spectators and runners who had been unable to finish the marathon were wandering around, frightened, disoriented, confused and cold. Father Carzon was able to minister to a runner who wasn’t injured but had assisted a bystander with catastrophic injuries. Two hours later, the runner, a Protestant, was still walking around the area in shock and disbelief.

“He came over, and said, ‘You’re a priest, I need to talk to someone, I need to talk,’ and he was able to pour out some of the story of what had happened,” Father Carzon said. “Then there was an off-duty firefighter who was there as a spectator, and he, too, got pushed out of the perimeter, and he ended up here to pray. There was a feeling of helplessness we had when we couldn’t get close. But doing the little that we could—putting out a table with water and fruit, being there—I realize how much that ‘little’ was able to do.”

It is a poignant irony that Martin Richard, the 8-year-old boy who died on Boylston Street, was a Catholic who had received his first Communion just last year. As Martin lay dying, priests were only yards away, beyond the police tape, unable to reach him to administer last rites—a sacrament that, to Catholics, bears enormous significance.

The Boston Police Department did not respond to a request for comment on its policy regarding clergy at the scenes of emergencies.

Were Boston Marathon bombings a false flag? – What’s a false flag?

False flag! False flag!

That’s the cry on the Internet as soon as another traumatic incident of mass casualties occurs in the United States.

It is said that the 9/11 terrorist attacks were a false flag. Skeptics of the Sandy Hook school massacre suspect it was a false flag. The latest incident — that of the two bombings at the April 15th Boston Marathon — is no exception.

I was aware of the latest cries of “False flag!” but was very reluctant to explore their credibility because if proven to be true, I think my last remaining shred of trust in my government would be obliterated.

But the cries persist. Notwithstanding my reluctance, I am undertaking a series of posts to explore that subject — in as responsible and careful a manner as I am able and as the gravity of a “false flag” accusation demands. This is the first post in that series.

Of all my (too many) years of undergraduate and graduate schooling, hands down the most useful course I’d ever taken was one on epistemology and the philosophy of science, from which I learnt how to think clearly and intelligently.

Epistemology is simply a fancy word referring to that branch in Philosophy that studies the nature of human knowledge:

• The four different types (or domains) of truth claims: Empirical; Analytical (Math & Logic); Metaphysical; and Normative.

• The criteria we use to evaluate and determine the truth or falsity of any truth claim (which depends on whether the claim is empirical, analytical, metaphysical, or normative).

But before one can even begin to evaluate the truth or falsity of some proposition, we must first have a clear idea about what the proposition says.

In this case — on whether the Boston bombings were a false flag event — before we examine the evidence (or lack thereof), we must first define the term “false flag” and list the criterial attributes of what constitutes a false flag incident. The definition and criterial attributes, in turn, will serve as our standards against which to assess the evidence.

What’s a False Flag?

From Wikipedia:

The name “false flag” has its origins in naval warfare where a flag other than the belligerent’s true battle flag is used as a ruse de guerre. [...] False flag (or black flag) describes covert military or paramilitary operations designed to deceive in such a way that the operations appear as though they are being carried out by other entities, groups or nations than those who actually planned and executed them. Operations carried during peace-time by civilian organizations, as well as covert government agencies, may by extension be called false flag operations if they seek to hide the real organization behind an operation.

As the term is used in contemporary America, a “false flag” incident is some traumatic public event that is:

• False: The public are given an untruthful version of the event by the government and the media. The falsity can range from no one actually had been killed or hurt (it was all theater); to some of the alleged victims are real; to all the alleged victims are real but the alleged perpetrator(s) is a fall guy who was set up by the “real” conspirators behind the scenes.

• Results in a “rallying around the flag” effect: Whatever the true nature of the “false flag” event, the objective is to arouse and manipulate the emotions (fear, anger, outrage, indignation) of the American people so that they’ll “rally around the flag” in an outburst of patriotism, supplying the current White House occupant and his (and his party’s) policies with their support and loyalty.

As an example, it is said the Sandy Hook massacre was a contrived event engineered to effect gun control. Conjectures about the massacre range from the extreme of no one in the school was killed (although Adam and Nancy Lanza were), to the 20 students and 6 adults of the school said to be killed really are dead but Adam Lanza wasn’t the killer (which would explain why Social Security had a date-of-death of Dec. 13, 2012 for him — one day before the massacre).

This blog on ZeroHedge lists governments from around the world that’ve admitted they carry out false flag terror.

What are some of the suggested signature attributes of a False Flag event?

1. Government officials and their mouthpieces use the incident to advance their policy agenda. This most certainly was and is the case with the Sandy Hook massacre. In the case of the Boston bombings, New York mayor Bloomberg already is using the bombings as a pretext, declaring that “our laws and our interpretation of the Constitution have to change” because of the bombings. (See also “Boston Bombing: Getting the sheeple used to the police state“).

2. The co-occurrence of a government drill at the same time as the traumatic event and in around the same place. The purpose of the concurrent drill is to provide special ops personnel (who are the real perpetrators of the false flag incident) and/or professional crisis actors with a cover story should they be seen or caught on film at the false flag event. (See “Remarkable resemblance of Sandy Hook victims and professional crisis actors“)

Indeed, the federal government’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) conducts HSEEP drills/exercises across America, in partnership with local/state governments. HSEEP refers to Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program. In the case of Sandy Hook, on the day of the shooting massacre at Sandy Hill Elementary School (SHES), Dec. 14, 2012, HSEEP conducted a “training course” drill, ”FEMA L-366 Planning for the Needs of Children in Disasters,” at 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT, which is about 14 miles from SHES.

It is claimed that in the case of the Boston Marathon bombings, there was also a drill both before and during the marathon, and that suspicious-looking private military operatives were seen (and photographed) at the bombings.

3. Lastly, if we have evidence of outright fakery, for example, victims who supposedly were killed or wounded, but aren’t, then the event being a false flag is a no-brainer. Alas, clear and incontrovertible evidence is hard to come by, which is why some find significance in the odd behaviors of Sandy Hook parents, quickly switching from laughing and joking to near-choking on tears, and the absence of tears or of other signs of weeping, such as a red nose; and in memorial, donation, and other Sandy Hook massacre websites having a creation date that predates the massacre.

Hitler Bloomberg: Boston Bombing means Constitution will have to change

Terrorism is extra-procedural violence to effectuate a political end that cannot be achieved via “normal” political methods.

Scholars on terrorism warn us that one of the objectives of terrorists is to incrementally push the target government to adopt increasingly draconian policies and methods — all in the name of national security and ensuring the people’s safety. In this manner, the government more and more becomes dictatorial. The hoped-for result is a populace increasingly unhappy and alienated from the government, and the government’s concomitant loss of legitimacy.

We are seeing that malignant process unfurling before our very eyes.

The 9/11 terrorist attacks led to the Bush administration’s Patriot Act and a never officially-declared state of emergency. Next, while declaring that the War on Terror was over, the Obama regime nevertheless not only continued but exacerbated the Patriot Act with the NDAA — the infamous National Defense Authorization Act that “authorizes” the president and the military to arrest and indefinitely detain U.S. citizens without charge or trial.

Now, right on cue, New York mayor Michael “Hitler” Bloomberg — whose every bone and sinew seem bent on restricting the liberties of New Yorkers, from super-sized soft drinks to breastfeeding to gun control — says our “interpretation” of the United States Constitution “will have to change” after the 4/15 Boston Marathon terrorist bombings, to allow for greater security to stave off future attacks.

said during a press conference in Midtown:

“The people who are worried about privacy have a legitimate worry. But we live in a complex world where you’re going to have to have a level of security greater than you did back in the olden days, if you will. And our laws and our interpretation of the Constitution, I think, have to change.

Look, we live in a very dangerous world. We know there are people who want to take away our freedoms. New Yorkers probably know that as much if not more than anybody else after the terrible tragedy of 9/11.

We have to understand that in the world going forward, we’re going to have more cameras and that kind of stuff. That’s good in some sense, but it’s different from what we are used to.”

Bloomberg then pointed to the gun debate and noted the courts have allowed for increasingly stringent regulations in response to ever-more powerful weapons. “Clearly the  Supreme Court has recognized that you have to have different interpretations of the Second Amendment and what it applies to and reasonable gun laws.”

While urging that our “interpretation” of the Constitution “will have to change,” Bloomberg is insistent that Muslims must be protected. He pontificates: “What we cant do is let the protection get in the way of us enjoying our freedoms. You still want to let people practice their religion, no matter what that religion is. And I think one of the great dangers here is going and categorizing anybody from one religion as a terrorist. That’s not true … That would let the terrorists win. That’s what they want us to do.”

Bloomberg said nothing about a U.S. military training manual putting Christians as the No. 1 “extremist” threat to America.

Yeah, Bloomberg, you really care about religions and religious freedom — but only if the religion is Islam and religious freedom means Muslims’ construction of a mosque at Ground Zero.

What Beck revealed about Boston bombings’ mysterious Saudi national

This is a follow-up on my post of April 20, 2013, “What about that other Boston bombings suspect, the Saudi national?”

Immediately after the two bombs detonated near the finish line of the Boston Marathon a week ago on April 15, 2013, the media identified a “Saudi national” as a “suspect” and told us that he was detained and questioned by law enforcement, then taken to a hospital to be treated for shrapnel wounds and severe burn. Quickly, the media changed its story and stopped calling the Saudi a “suspect” but a “person of interest” instead. Then, the media seemed to have lost all interest in the “Saudi national.”

So the Alternate Media stepped in to pick up this story. We are told that:

• The name of the “Saudi national” is Abdulrahman Al-harbi or  variations thereof.
• A day after the bombings, Obama had an unscheduled meeting with the Saudi foreign minister.
• The “Saudi national” reportedly was paid a visit by none other than FLPOS Michelle.
• Then we learn that the “Saudi national” would be deported under section 212 3B as a “national security threat,” only to have the story change again by DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano to Alharbi not being deported.
• A congressional source said that a file on Alharbi had been created, that he was “linked” in some way to the Boston bombings (though it is unclear how), and that documents showing all this have been sent to Congress.
• On Sunday, TheBlaze reported that the House Committee on Homeland Security is officially requesting more information about Alharbi.
• According to Fox News reporter Todd Starnes, a source purportedly familiar with the investigation said Alharbi had been flagged on a terror watch list, and improperly granted a student visa although he was deemed inadmissible under the section of the Immigration and Nationality Act which declares ineligible for a visa, any foreign national who is or is likely to engage in terrorist activity.

Last Thursday, Glenn Beck issued an ultimatum to the Obama regime. If the White House doesn’t come clean on the “Saudi national” by Monday (today, April 22), Beck would reveal what he knows about the man. The following is what Beck revealed today in his radio program, taken from an account published in Beck’s TheBlaze:

• While the media continues to look at the two Tsarnaev brothers, there were three people “involved” in the Boston Marathon bombings and the first of the three is the Saudi national.

• That the Saudi national was tagged as a “212 3B” (to be deported on grounds of national security) is significant because that is the equivalent in civil society of charging someone with premeditated murder and seeking the death penalty.

• But Alharbi’s file was changed last Wednesday at 5:35 p.m., which is unheard of due to the severity of “212 3B.” Only someone at the very highest levels of the State Department could make that alteration so quickly.

• Alharbi has been in the United States for six months. His student visa specifically allows him to go to school in Findley, Ohio, but he has an apartment in Boston, Massachusetts. 

• Why wasn’t the Congressional Committee on Homeland Security notified? Why are they being cut out of all information? This is protocol.

• Sources tell Beck this will most likely now be kicked from the DHS to the DOJ and labeled an ongoing investigation that can no longer be discussed. This will be the reason Napalitano won’t answer the Homeland Security Committee’s request for a briefing. Like Benghazi, the Obama administration are engaged in a disinformation campaign floating a variety of scenarios to confuse the media to prevent the story from being pursued. They are also working very hard to discredit those on the scent.

• The questionable relationship between Saudi Arabia and the United States goes back further than the current administration. Multiple news outlets reported after 9/11 that prominent Saudis were allowed to leave the country, even as all flights were grounded. The Bush administration would later block the investigation into Saudi involvement into 9/11, even though 15 of the 19 hijackers were Saudis, and would eventually force the redaction of a 28-page chapter of the 9/11 Commission report regarding foreign, specifically Saudi, support for some of the Al-Qaeda hijackers.

• But the Obama administration has taken that relationship to a whole new level. On January 14, 2013, Obama met with Saudi Minister of Interior. Two days later Janet Napolitano signed agreement with Saudi minister allowing “trusted traveler” status on Saudi student visitors, meaning greatly reduced security checks and scrutiny.

• Beck: “This is trusted traveler status that we don’t give to some of our most trusted allies, and we gave it to Saudi Arabia last January? So they can just walk into our country no questions asked? There is a pattern. There is a relationship between the U.S. and Saudi Arabia the American public doesn’t know about. The case of Abdul Rahman Ali Al-Harbi is only the latest example.”

• Beck concluded by calling on the American people to “call your congressmen right now. There are congressmen who are aware of this, have seen the documentation — they need your support, they need your help…If we do not stand up, [Alharbi] is on a plane tomorrow or he is already gone.”

Yankees, other MLB teams play ‘Sweet Caroline’ in Boston tribute

trust me the yanks and boston hate each other. It says a lot about us as a nation whenever tragedy strikes, we pull together. this is just one more example.

NEW YORK — A stadium full of Yankees fans stood arm in arm at the bottom of the third inning in the Bronx, singing along to “Sweet Caroline,” the Boston Red Sox anthem. Irony and sarcasm were absent. Sincerity was the mood of the night.

The rival teams have buried the hatchet — at least for now. Yankee fans belted out the Neil Diamond hit during a game Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, showing solidarity with their neighbor to the north a day after explosions at the Boston Marathon killed three people and injured more than 170.

The Yankees’ gesture Tuesday resonated with Diamond, who tweeted his appreciation.

“Sweet Caroline” also was played at Wrigley Field, Dodger Stadium, Marlins Park, Safeco Field, O.co Coliseum, Great American Ball Park, and at Cleveland’s Progressive Field, where the Red Sox beat the Indians 7-2.

“That was a very classy touch,” said Indians skipper Terry Francona, who managed the Red Sox for eight years.

The Milwaukee Brewers put a different spin on their tribute; they played the theme to the NBC television sitcom “Cheers,” which was set in Boston.

The Red Sox-Yankees rivalry — which has reared its ugly head in bench-clearing brawls and fan assaults over the years — is just one difference between the cities, both among the oldest in the country and each with a rich history.

But look around New York this week, and you’ll see nothing but love for Boston.

In what city officials said was a first, the bright-blue Boston city flag flew at half-staff at New York City Hall, on the orders of Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who grew up in the Boston suburb of Medford.

“We stand shoulder to shoulder with our friends in Boston, as all Americans do,” said Bloomberg, who in 2006 founded the group Mayors Against Illegal Guns with Boston Mayor Thomas Menino. Bloomberg said he phoned his counterpart Monday to offer him any help New York could provide.

In Brooklyn on Monday night, an Occupy Wall Street group, the Illuminator, projected in large neon lights on the walls of the Brooklyn Academy of Music the two teams’ logos, a heart inserted in between them, to read “NY(heart)B.” The image has gone viral.

New York Roman Catholic Cardinal Timothy Dolan, celebrating Mass at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York on Tuesday, said a special prayer for Boston.

“You’ve got our love, you’ve got our hope and you’ve got our solidarity,” he said. “You’re going to get through it.”

Joe Daniels, president and CEO of the National September 11 Memorial and Museum, sent out an email offering comfort to Bostonians.

“The 9/11 Memorial is a constant reminder not only of what we have endured as a result of terrorism, but also of our ability to come together with limitless compassion,” he wrote. “In the wake of the Boston attacks, this spirit of unity is more important than ever.”

Tension has bubbled between Boston and New York since the 17th century, when the Puritans, who founded Boston, and the Dutch, who founded New York, squabbled over Long Island, said Professor Bill Fowler, a Northeastern University historian and former director of the Massachusetts Historical Society.

“We’re so small compared to New York, but we’re so powerful,” said Fowler, acknowledging that Boston, with just over 600,000 residents, is smaller than the borough of Brooklyn. “On per capita basis, we’ve got you beat, it’s just that you’re bigger.”

For Yankees fan Steve Sanzillo, who is still going back and forth with his wife, a Sox fan, over which baseball team their 19-month-old son Jackson will root for, Monday’s attack did more to unify the cities than any rivalry could divide.

“It just brings back all the memories of 2001,” he said. “I think I speak for all New Yorkers by saying our hearts are with Boston.”

At Yankee Stadium, where police helicopters buzzed overhead and counterterrorism officers patrolled the outside, there was a sense of empathy among the fans, residents of a city no stranger to terrorism giving a knowing nod to their usually despised counterparts from Boston.

“I’ve been getting a lot of looks, kind nods,” said Boston native Christine Sanzillo, 34, wearing in a Red Sox hat alongside her husband, a New York native. “It’s a positive energy here today. Once my mother had a beer poured on her head.”

During a moment of silence at the start of the game, a large commemorative ribbon with logos from the two teams was shown on the electronic board atop the ballpark.

“But what’s going to happen when the Knicks and Celtics square off?” Petti — “Yankee Mike” — said, referring to the upcoming playoff game between the two cities’ basketball teams.

“They’ll show some respect,” he said, “then they’re going to want to beat each other.”

How bankrupt govt steals your money in 8 steps

As news on the Great Cyprus Bank Robbery keep getting worse, the latest being the country’s corrupt finance minister Michael Sarris saying that as much as 80% of “large” bank deposits can be confiscated, Americans should be on the alert to copycat moves by our feral government and bankers. All the more because the American Left are applauding the theft of Cypriots’ bank savings.

Tyler Durden of ZeroHedge warns us that when bankrupt insolvent governments “run out of fingers to plug the dikes,” history shows that they fall back on a very limited playbook.

Simon Black of Sovereign Man blog has enumerated 8 steps in the playbook of bankrupt governments:

1. Direct confiscation: As Cyprus showed us, bankrupt governments are quite happy to plunder people’s bank accounts, especially if it’s a wealthy minority. Aside from bank levies, though, this also includes things like seizing retirement accounts (Argentina), increases in civil asset forfeiture (United States), and gold criminalization.

2. Taxes: Just another form of confiscation, taxation plunders the hard work and talent of the citizenry. But thanks to decades of brainwashing, it’s more socially acceptable. We’ve come to regard taxes as a ‘necessary evil,’ not realizing that the country existed for decades, even centuries, without an income tax. Yet when bankrupt governments get desperate enough, they begin imposing new taxes… primarily WEALTH taxes (Argentina) or windfall profits taxes (United States in the 1970s).

3. Inflation: This is indirect confiscation– the slow, gradual plundering of people’s savings. Again, governments have been quite successful at inculcating a belief that inflation is also a necessary evil. They’re also adept at fooling people with phony inflation statistics.

4. Capital Controls: Governments can, do, and will restrict the free-flow of capital across borders. They’ll prevent you from moving your own money to a safer jurisdiction, forcing you to keep your hard earned savings at home where it can be plundered and devalued. We’re seeing this everywhere in the developed world… from withdrawal limits in Europe to cash-sniffing dogs at border checkpoints. And it certainly doesn’t help when everyone from the IMF to Nobel laureate Paul Krugman argue in favor of Capital Controls.

5. Wage and Price controls: When even the lowest common denominator in society realizes that prices are getting higher, governments step in and ‘fix’ things by imposing price controls. Occasionally this also includes wage controls… though wage increases tend to be vastly outpaced by price increases. Of course, as any basic economics textbook can illustrate, price controls never work and typically lead to shortages and massive misallocations.

6. Wage and Price controls– on STEROIDS: When the first round of price controls don’t work, the next step is to impose severe penalties for not abiding by the terms. In the days of Diocletian’s Edict on Prices in the 4th century AD, any Roman caught violating the price controls was put to death. In post-revolutionary France, shopkeepers who violated the “Law of Maximum” were fleeced of their private property… and a national spy system was put into place to enforce the measures.

7. Increased regulation: Despite being completely broke, governments will dramatically expand their ranks in a last desperate gasp to envelop the problem in sheer size. In the early 1920s, for example, the number of bureaucratic officials in the German Weimar Republic increased 242%, even though the country was flat broke from its World War I reparation payments and hyperinflation episode. The increase in both regulations and government officials criminalizes and/or controls almost every aspect of our existence… from what we can/cannot put in our bodies to how we are allowed to raise our own children.

8. War and National Emergency: When all else fails, just invade another country. Pick a fight. Keep people distracted by working them into a frenzy over men in caves… or some completely irrelevant island.

13% of Americans believe Obama is the Antichrist

Matt Berman reports for National Journal, April 2, 2013, that a new poll by Public Policy Polling found that 13% of registered American voters surveyed believe the POS is the Antichrist, while another 13% are not sure.

The poll of 1,247 registered American voters was conducted from March 27-30, 2013, through automated telephone interviews. The margin of error for the overall sample is +/-2.8%.

Some other findings of the poll (here’s the survey in pdf):

• 4% of respondents believe shape-shifting reptilian people control our world by taking on human form and gaining power.
• 5% of respondents believe Paul McCartney died and
  was secretly replaced in the Beatles in 1966.
• 7% of those surveyed do not believe the moon landing was fake and that astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin had ever really landed on the moon.
• 11% are not sure if Osama bin Laden indeed is dead. (Note from Eowyn: Bin Laden allegedly was killed by Navy SEAL Team 6 on May 2, 2011, although the Pentagon has no records of his death.)
• 14% of respondents believe the CIA was “instrumental” in dealing crack cocaine into America’s inner cities in the 1980s.
• 15% of those surveyed think the media or government add “secret mind-controlling technology” to TV broadcasts.
• Only 25% of those surveyed think Lee Harvey Oswald had acted alone in the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. 51% believe there was a larger conspiracy.
• 28% of respondents think Saddam Hussein was involved in 9/11; 51% don’t.
• 28% of those surveyed believe that a “secretive power elite with a globalist agenda is conspiring to eventually rule the world through an authoritarian world government, or New World Order.”
• 37% of respondents said global warming is a hoax; 51% think it is not.
• 44% of respondents believe the Bush administration intentionally misled the U.S. about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq to promote the war; 45% said no.

Jewish state fires back with missiles targeting Damascus regime

TEL AVIV – It was the Syrian opposition and not the Syrian government behind the firing Sunday and yesterday at the Israeli border, a top Syrian official claimed to WND.

The Syrian official accused the jihadist opposition of attempting to draw Israel into the conflict to aid the rebels by targeting the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

“Why would we fire at Israel?” asked the official, speaking on condition his name be withheld. “We have no interest in getting Israel to attack the Syrian military.”

The rebels are backed by the U.S. and international community.

The border incidents began Saturday, when a round of gunfire coming from the Syrian side hit an Israeli Defense Forces jeep on routine patrol in the northern Golan Heights. Another round was fired from Syria targeted the same area in Israel today.

The gunfire came from a region on the Syrian side of the border where rebels have been attempting to seize control of a border town these last few days.

Israel Sunday responded with a missile attack that destroyed a Syrian army machine-gun position despite questions about whether the Syrian army was behind the fire into Israel.

Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon made clear he views Assad bearing the ultimate responsibility for any attacks from his side of the border.

Ya’alon’s office released this statement: “We view the fire from Syria last night and this morning at IDF troops in Israeli territory as severe. The IDF responded in accordance with government policy. Every breach of Israeli sovereignty and each firing from the Syrian side will be met with an immediate response to silence the source of fire as we identify them. We see the Syrian regime as being responsible for every violation of our sovereignty.”

Today’s round of violence comes as the rebels are reportedly being fingered in last week’s alleged chemical attack in the Syrian town of Khan al-Assal, west of Aleppo.

Britain’s Telegraph reported Sunday the Syrian military is said to believe that a homemade, locally manufactured rocket was by rebels fired, containing a form of chlorine known as CL17, easily available as a swimming-pool cleaner. Syria claims the warhead contained a quantity of the gas, dissolved in saline solution.

Informed Mideast security officials speaking to WND further blamed the rebels for the chemical attack.

The officials said it appears the rebels are attempting to create a humanitarian crisis to precipitate the deployment of NATO to fight the Assad regime.

Globalist doctrine

Any NATO deployment would likely come under the banner of Responsibility to Protect.

Responsibility to Protect, or Responsibility to Act, as cited by President Obama, is a set of principles, now backed by the United Nations, based on the idea that sovereignty is not a privilege but a responsibility that can be revoked if a country is accused of “war crimes,” “genocide,” “crimes against humanity” or “ethnic cleansing.”

The term “war crimes” has at times been indiscriminately used by various U.N.-backed international bodies, including the International Criminal Court, or ICC, which applied it to Israeli anti-terror operations in the Gaza Strip. There has been fear the ICC could be used to prosecute U.S. troops.

Billionaire activist George Soros’ Open Society Institute is also one of only three non-governmental funders of the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect, the group that devised the doctrine.

Obama’s national security adviser, Samantha Power, helped to found Responsibility to Protect, which was also devised by several controversial characters, including Palestinian legislator Hanan Ashrawi, a staunch denier of the Holocaust who long served as the deputy of late Palestinian Liberation Organization leader Yasser Arafat.

Power, in April, was named the head of the new White House Atrocities Prevention Board.

The Carr Center for Human Rights Policy, founded by Power, had a seat on the advisory board of the 2001 commission that original founded Responsibility to Protect.

The commission is called the International Commission on Intervention and State Sovereignty. It invented the term “responsibility to protect” while defining its guidelines.

The Carr Center is a research center concerned with human rights located at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

Power was Carr’s founding executive director and headed the institute at the time it advised in the founding of Responsibility to Protect. With Power’s Carr Center on the advisory board, the International Commission on Intervention and State Sovereignty first defined the Responsibility to Protect doctrine.

Soros-funded

The Global Centre for Responsibility to Protect is the world’s leading champion of the military doctrine.

Soros’ Open Society Institute is a primary funder and key proponent of the Global Centre for Responsibility to Protect. Several of the doctrine’s main founders sit on boards with Soros.

Activists Ramesh Thakur and Gareth Evans, for example, are the original founders. The two sit on multiple boards with Soros.

Board members of the Global Centre for the Responsibility to Protect include former U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan, former Ireland President Mary Robinson and South African activist Desmond Tutu.

Robinson and Tutu have made solidarity visits to the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip as members of a group called The Elders, which includes former President Jimmy Carter.

Annan once famously stated: “State sovereignty, in its most basic sense, is being redefined – not least by the forces of globalization and international cooperation. States are … instruments at the service of their peoples and not vice versa.”

Right to ‘penetrate nation-states’ borders’

Soros himself outlined the fundamentals of Responsibility to Protect in a 2004 Foreign Policy magazine article titled “The People’s Sovereignty: How a New Twist on an Old Idea Can Protect the World’s Most Vulnerable Populations.”

In the article, Soros asserted, “True sovereignty belongs to the people, who in turn delegate it to their governments.”

“If governments abuse the authority entrusted to them and citizens have no opportunity to correct such abuses, outside interference is justified,” Soros wrote. “By specifying that sovereignty is based on the people, the international community can penetrate nation-states’ borders to protect the rights of citizens.

“In particular, the principle of the people’s sovereignty can help solve two modern challenges: the obstacles to delivering aid effectively to sovereign states, and the obstacles to global collective action dealing with states experiencing internal conflict.”

More Soros ties

“Responsibility” founders Evans and Thakur served as co-chairmen on the advisory board of the International Commission on Intervention and State Sovereignty, which invented the term “responsibility to protect.”

In his capacity as co-chairman, Evans also played a pivotal role in initiating the fundamental shift from sovereignty as a right to “sovereignty as responsibility.”

Evans presented Responsibility to Protect at the July 23, 2009, United Nations General Assembly, which was convened to consider the principle.

Thakur is a fellow at the Centre for International Governance Innovation, which is in partnership with an economic institute founded by Soros.

Soros is on the executive board of the International Crisis Group, a “crisis management organization” for which Evans serves as president-emeritus.

New world order

Doctrine founder Thakur has advocated a “global rebalancing” and “international redistribution” to create a “New World Order.”

In a piece in March 2011 in the Ottawa Citizen newspaper, “Toward a New World Order,” Thakur wrote, “Westerners must change lifestyles and support international redistribution.”

He was referring to a U.N.-brokered international climate treaty in which it was argued, “Developing countries must reorient growth in cleaner and greener directions.”

In the opinion piece, Thakur then discussed recent military engagements and how the financial crisis has impacted the U.S.

“The West’s bullying approach to developing nations won’t work anymore – global power is shifting to Asia,” he wrote. “A much-needed global moral rebalancing is in train.”

Thakur continued: “Westerners have lost their previous capacity to set standards and rules of behavior for the world. Unless they recognize this reality, there is little prospect of making significant progress in deadlocked international negotiations.”

Thakur contended “the demonstration of the limits to U.S. and NATO power in Iraq and Afghanistan has left many less fearful of ‘superior’ Western power.”
