Petaurista alborufus

The Red and White Giant Flying Squirrel (Petaurista alborufus) is the largest species of Giant Squirrel, measuring more than 3 ft. from head to tail. It has blue eyes and is found in China and Taiwan.
Found in the higher elevations, its habitats include dense mountain forests, limestone cliffs and conifer forests. These squirrels are nocturnal and nest in high tree hollows.

Squirrels ..From the family of rodents known as (sciuridae) also includes ground hogs, chip monks ,marmots and prairie dogs.
