Gen Charles Chandler “Chuck” Krulak, USMCR
As a life-long student of history – particularly that of the military variety, I am always on the lookout for things that may be a little “off the trail,” but that I believe are not a little profound in their relationship to our beloved (and rapidly vanishing) America.
As many of you know, my dad was a Marine who served our nation during the Korean War. As such, I tend to be drawn to most matters involving Marines, as even though I was never one myself, I have nothing but the deepest respect for those who manage to “earn the title.”
What follows is a talk given by then LTGen Charles Chandler Krulak to members of the 1993 Naval Academy class – just a few short years before Gen Krulak was promoted and appointed as the 31st Commandant of the Marine Corps.
Even though it took place nearly two decades ago, its relevance to the current state of America is not a little prophetic in its scope, and it is most definitely worth an hour of your time.
It is, in a word, riveting.
