Obama telegraphs his intent with new logo

Symbols are powerful because they are visual short-cuts for ideas and words. Being visual, symbols tap into our emotions, often bypassing the cognitive and critical functions of our cerebral cortex.

As examples, just look at these symbols and take note of your automatic visceral reaction to each:

Much has been written about Obama’s logo that debuted in the 2008 presidential campaign:

One besotted Obamabot called the logo “pure genius” because:

• The O represents Obama and he can use the logo without his name next to it.
• The blue O and the red stripes represent the flag.
• The red stripes represent the plains, the American farmland.

Obama’s logo has now morphed into the Democratic Party’s logo for the 2012 DNC:

What is interesting is that when you look quickly at the 2012 DNC logo, you don’t realize that the red bottom half is made up of silhouettes of people. Instead, it looks like a red liquid that’s welling up from below and will soon engulf the entire circle, drowning the blue half-moon.

The symbols for the communist party everywhere are the hammer and sickle, the red star, and the color red. The 2012 DNC logo is symbolic of Obama’s socialist agenda for America, which is partially-achieved in 2012 but, with 4 more years, will be a fait accompli.
