Ryan VP pick energizes Romney campaign

Don’t believe all the media and pundits nay-saying about how Mitt Romney’s selection of Congressman Paul Ryan to be his VP running-mate is a bad idea. On the contrary, all signs point to the choice not only energizing the conservative base, it also has a measurable effect on critical swing states.

Breitbart.com’s Big Government reports Aug. 17, 2012, that the Romney/Ryan campaign is reporting great success among multiple platforms immediately following the Vice-presidential announcement:

  • Over $10 million in donations have poured into the campaign, and more than two-thirds are from first time donors.
  • 45,000 additional volunteers have joined the Romney-Ryan campaign.
  • A marked increase in support on social media outlets like Facebook and Twitter.
  • A recent poll shows that voters in swing states believe that Romney and Ryan had a better plan than Obama/Biden to create jobs and get the economy moving. Gallup and Rasmussen also show momentum in the swing states.

Meanwhile, Gallup’s latest poll of registered voters has 47% for Romney v. 45% for the POS. Polls of younger Americans, who had turned out in droves to vote for the POS in 2008, now show they have become disillusioned with the POS. (H/t FOTM’s Grouchy!)

  1. Thank you Dr. Eowyn for the statistics you have set forth giving us this wonderful news! I am so impressed with Ryan! He has great non-verbal communication and when he speaks, he is strong, logical and effective!

  2. everytime i see pos by obamas name i think yeah piece of shit

  3. My family attended the rally for Paul Ryan at Miami University in Oxford on Wednesday and it was great! We are praying that the thousands in attendance are a sign of things to come! By the way some reports stated that mostly students were at the rally! NOT TRUE! Students are not in class as of yet. The majority of them started to move on campus this weekend. I thought the crowd was more like 50 and over. Bye-bye POtuS!!!
