URGENT: California residents sign this petition!

U.S. public government schools are graduating Americans who can’t read, write, spell or do simple Math, but they sure know about how the United States is the most oppressive country in the world, how capitalism is evil, how to put a condom on a banana, and that Samantha has two mommies and Timmy has two daddies.

Obama’s “safe schools” czar, Kevin Jennings, is the co-founder of GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network), on organization that sponsored a Massachusetts school seminar that had instructors give teens explicit direction on homosexual activities, such as whether to “spit or swallow” during oral sex, and how to accomplish the disgusting and unsanitary act known as “fisting.” A teacher who attended the 2000 sex seminar says the project was the idea and product of Kevin Jennings.

The State of California has gone even further in eroding and corroding the purpose and content of public school curriculum. In July of last year, Governor Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown signed a bill passed by the Democrats-dominated state legislature: SB 48.

So what is SB 48?

• Under SB 48, starting in January of 2012, schools are required to add instruction about the “role and contribution” of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) individuals historically with particular emphasis on portraying the role of these groups in contemporary society.

• SB 48 has been misrepresented to the public and passed as a bill aimed to end bullying. But whatever the stated goal, the actual provisions of the bill say nothing about bullying. Instead, they regulate the content of classroom instruction.

• SB 48 requires all public schools to include “positive” discussions of the sexual orientations of LBGT Americans in all social science courses. Nothing can “reflect adversely” on these lifestyles.

• The sponsors have repeatedly asserted that SB 48 mandates this provocative material for California students in all grades from K-12.

• Under SB 48, public schools would begin supplementing current instruction with pro-LGBT materials before textbooks are revised. Any school not in compliance with this is in violation of the law.

• SB 48 categorizes LGBT as ethnic groups & minorities. It equates sexual preference to race or ethnicity like Asians, Latinos, Blacks, etc.

• SB 48 requires the creation of new instructional materials at a time when school districts can hardly afford it.

• SB 48 ties the hands of teachers and administrators at the local level and often contradicts what students are taught at home.

• SB 48 forces teachers and administrators to enter into the divisive debate over sexual orientation and morality and to portray only one side of that debate. They are being asked not to tolerate but to advocate.

• When students in California schools are falling behind in core subjects this is an unnecessary and unwanted burden coming not from educators but social activists in the California Legislature.

• If this law is left to stand in California it will make its way into other states. Textbooks printed for California are used in other states.
