Romance is not dead even at age 72.
The Daily Mail reports, July 8, 2012, that in a private Saturday evening ceremony at the Boston Marriot hotel, openly gay 72-year-old U.S. Congressman Barney Frank (D-Mass) wed his “long-time” (FIVE years is “long time”!) partner James Ready, thereby becoming the first sitting congressman to enter into a homosexual marriage.
Frank, who is retiring after more than three decades in office, represents the 4th Congressional District in southeastern Massachusetts.
Frank’s bride is 30 years younger. Ready owns a small business doing custom awnings, carpentry, painting, welding and other general handyman services. He’s also a photographer. He and Frank met at a political fundraiser in Maine, and the two have been in a relationship since 2007.
The wedding ceremony was officiated by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, and attended by many of Frank’s colleagues on the Hill, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi; Congressman John F. Tierney, a Salem Democrat; Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, a Connecticut Democrat; and Congressman Al Green, a Texas Democrat.

I was JUST thinking that exact thing when I read the title!
Homosexuality makes me want to throw up. I am incapable of just looking at something on the surface, my mind always wanders to details about everything, be it positive, negative, or neutral and boring. So with homosexuality, I can’t just look at the two “grooms” and laugh, I feel nauseated because my mind wanders to perverted details.
I wonder if Fannie and Fweddy were invited to the wedding…
