 Most iPhone owners say they couldn’t do without the gadget, and quite a few would sooner give up sex, according to a new survey.

June 29, Electronics trade-in site Gazelle polled more than 1,000 customers who have traded in at least one iPhone.

It found that 65 percent said the iPhone was the device or platform they would not be able to live without, compared with just 1 percent opting for Facebook.

But the juicy stat is that nearly 15 percent of respondents said they’d rather give up sex than go for even a weekend without their iPhone. And nearly 4 percent of reported having used their iPhone during sex. Keep that up and you won’t have to choose between sex and the iPhone for long.   Read More

Cell phones are ubiquitous.  Every poor African living in a mud hut carries a cell phone as do the “poorest of the poor” in India and third world countries.  People on many public assistance programs in the United States qualify for free cell phones through a government subsidy to a company called Assurance Wireless.

Men take note: at the 20 minute mark she describes workplace hazards and radiation damage to soft tissue i.e. your penis.  At the 40 minute mark she describes damage to sperm mitochondrial DNA.

    GrouchyFogie, amen. Hubby finally succumbed to the lure of the phone that does everything. I have way more technology (puters, phones, etc.) at home and don’t need anything on a phone but phone numbers and a way to call 911 or road side assistance, and even then we have Onstar in one car, So enough is enough.

  5. geez i must be a dinosaur i remember the phone booth pop in a dime to make a call.. i have a cell phone but i rarely use it keep it for emergencies when driving other than that and why isn’t the inventor of the cell phone ever mentioned i know he worked for motorolla i’ll google it and see what comes up.
