Levin: Al Sharpton ‘an a-hole,’ should be fired for comparing GOP to Hitler

Get Jeff Poor FeedAccording to Levin, conservative commentators are held to much stricter standards than Sharpton, who Levin said manages to get away with a lot more despite a questionable track record.
“There are lines,” he continued. “And the lines for conservative talkers are much tighter, much harsher than they are for the others. Al Sharpton is a disgrace, and yet everybody is afraid of him. He’s on the radio. NBC News hires him on at MSNBC, or ‘MSLSD’ as I call it. He brings nothing to the table, nothing. He can barely speak in complete sentences. He’s a race-baiter in my opinion. You saw what he did in Florida — he was the first on the scene, if not one of the early ones, the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case and that’s certainly not the first. And yet, he’s considered that controversial. But today I’m calling for the firing of Al Sharpton.”
Levin said this was a first for him to call for a firing. But the occasion was spurred on by comments Sharpton made on his radio last week picked up by Radio Equalizer’s Brian Maloney, when Sharpton suggested Republicans wanted to wipe out African-Americans “like what was done in Hitler’s Germany
“It seems like they [Republicans] act as though, some wiping out of people, some of the right-wing, is all right. It’s not all right to do to any innocent people,” Sharpton said. “If you had war and people — that’s one thing, but to wipe out innocent people just because of who they are like what was done in Hitler’s Germany, or what was done to Native Americans, is not justifiable.”
Levin went on to call those remarks unacceptable and raised the question what exactly Sharpton’s role was as a commentator.
“This vile statement by Al Sharpton, which as I interpreted was accusing Republicans of genocide, is unacceptable to me under any circumstances and I think for most of you, too,” Levin said. “And if I don’t bring it up and I don’t play it, and I don’t highlight it, it’s not going to be dealt with. This guy has gotten away from the beginning of his phony civil rights career to this day with comments like this with virtually anything he wants to do or say.
“What is he?” he continued. “Is he an activist? Rabble-rouser? Radio host? TV host? Civil rights leader? What is he? He’s an a-hole. That’s what he is.”

You’re right there Grouchy, they and their ilk will be sucking up to the beast, because they will definitely not be polluting Heaven with their presence.
Prediction:
MSNBC will not fire Sharpton, for fear of being called “Raaacist”.
MSNBC can’t get rid of him….isn’t he their token black host?
What an illiterate individual. If you “speak” for a group maybe you should try a bit harder to be coherent. Who hired this clown anyway, he doesn’t help the cause, whatever it is this week.
My husband and I listen to Levin’s show over dinner every night. He’s one of the few lawyers I’ve ever been able to stomach. He can be very intense, not something that always goes with a quiet dinner and collecting your thoughts after a long day but he is a conservative and knows a lot. Worth a listen. Sharpton is at the other end of the scale, worthless.
That Brawley case alone should have ended this con-man’s career Steve. Good men had their lives destroyed by this clown.
i remember the fire at freddys store (didnt remember that it was freddys store) but i remember how sharpton incited a mob to riot and kill i believe some hasidic jews . that sharpton gets any air time on any station not owned by himself is a barometer as to how low we have sunk as a people and a nation this clown should have been shown the door a long time ago…

I was so excited when I heard Rev. James Manning say that Sharpton has AIDS. Sharpton, departing this Earth for his just rewards would be a great blessing for this country. He has perpetrated more lies and caused more grief than we can possibly imagine. The fall out from all his lies and the trouble he’s stirred up will go on long after his eternal burning begins. The Duke lacrosse boys will never forget how their school, government and media turned on them. I’m sure they can tell you exactly how George Zimmerman feels. The families affected by the Tawana Brawley lies will never forget the fear and terror they lived through. I have seen people die of AIDS and it is not a good way to go, but I can not think of a more suitable, fitting disease for the diabolical Sharpton to succomb to. (this is not to take away from the dignity of innocent people who have died from AIDS; babies, hemophiliacs and many other innocent people.)
