Rolling Thunder – Honoring our Troops for 25 Years

I love these guys and what they do.  My father and uncle are buried at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.   My dad who served in the Navy Merchant Marines hauling fuel to the Pacific fleet in WWII, is buried near the main pavillion where the American Legion holds regular  funerals with full military honors.   As we were leaving my uncle’s funeral a few years ago, Rolling Thunder came roaring in with all flags flying. right past me at the monument of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.   I still choke up remembering.

They’re all about a lot more than just riding motorcycles!

  1. I love these guys. They came to my town to protect the funeral service of a local fallen soldier from the Westboro Church gang and the whole town was in tears…it was a sight I will always remember and appreciate so much.

  2. I was so proud to see these guys circling in D.C. Beautiful! saw little to none of media coverage. Love Rolling Thunder. They say they made D.C. politicians a little uncomfortable,GOOD! GET OUT OF OUR HOUSE!

  3. My dear friend and co-worker is a Filipino-American. Her father lived to the ripe old age of 97. As he was failing the last few years, he made sure everyone knew that he wanted to buried in his military uniform. As an immigrant he’d lived in America since the 1920s and fought in WWII to liberate the Phillipines from the Japanese occupation.
