Torture is not on a “sliding scale”. Evil is not on a “sliding scale”. Blacks don’t get to look at perceived injustice, then declare “Justice for Trayvon Martin” and begin killing white people. We don’t get to state the events of 9/11 and start torturing Muslims. And, when you give that level power to Govt on the basis of blind desire for revenge that leaves behind God’s laws — you can expect your government to become the greatest evil you will ever face.
The Government is holding up the Muslims to those who will be baited by them to become thugs — even as the Government is holding up Trayvon Martin to those who will be baited by that to become thugs.
When will people learn??
I beg to differ with your statement of “start torturing Muslims”. As the rules of war go, we tortured terrorists to obtain information that prevented future attacks. Evil follows no laws or morals. And war is never pretty…losing more Americans is not our preference.
If the torture of a terrorist saved the life of a loved one of yours, would you approve?
