Yeppers, our Steve’s got it correctly from the get-go. It honours all those Latinos who got there first, were removed through wars and westward expansion, and now send their ghosts via their descendents to take it all back, by what one Mexican labourer said was their secret weapon: “Our penis!” Sorry, not a joke! It was told to me while I was in Oakland-Bay area in 2001. Amazingly, some of these labourers sent 1/3 of whatever they earned back home, although often paid less than minimum, w/o benefits.
What’s w/the policy of newly born children of illegals suddenly transmogrify into legals w/equal standing as native-born of citizens? My parents waited years after becoming citizens until they saved enough to afford a family, at a time [1943] when my dad as a Union plumber made $ .75/hr. Yes, costs were overall lower, but the point is they made the effort, and never let us forget it, so I waited until I was 27 and had an established trade and business before having our first. ‘Responsibility’ must the name of an extinct dinosaur….
