Spammer From Hell

Fellowship of the Minds, like any blog, gets phony comments from businesses trying to get published so that readers will click their alias or handle with an embedded link back to their business. Such bogus comments are spam.

Although WordPress has a spam filter that catches spam, some always get through. Most of these are dumped into FOTM’s spam comments folder. They average about 30-50 a day. I look at each one before I empty the folder because sometimes a “real” (legitimate) comment from a reader can mistakenly be dumped into that folder.

I woke up early this morning and found 360 phony comments in my spam folder! I had closed my laptop at around 8:00 pm last night. This means in just 7 hours, 360 spam comments were made. That’s a record.

I just looked through them. Almost all of the 360 were from one business and e-address. Here’s the spammer:
