What is it with liberals and progressives that they believe they need to strip children of their gender identity in the name of “human equality”? Well, they have opened up a pre-school in Sweden to make sure the little young ones aren’t “confused”.
No ‘him’ or ‘her’; preschool fights gender bias
STOCKHOLM—At the “Egalia” preschool, staff avoid using words like “him” or “her” and address the 33 kids as “friends” rather than girls and boys. “Society expects girls to be girlie, nice and pretty and boys to be manly, rough and outgoing,” says Jenny Johnsson, a 31-year-old teacher. “Egalia gives them a fantastic opportunity to be whoever they want to be.”
The taxpayer-funded preschool which opened last year in the liberal Sodermalm district of Stockholm for kids aged 1 to 6 is among the most radical examples of Sweden’s efforts to engineer equality between the sexes from childhood onward.
Breaking down gender roles is a core mission in the national curriculum for preschools, underpinned by the theory that even in highly egalitarian-minded Sweden, society gives boys an unfair edge.
Director Lotta Rajalin notes that Egalia places a special emphasis on fostering an environment tolerant of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people. From a bookcase, she pulls out a story about two male giraffes who are sad to be childless — until they come across an abandoned crocodile egg.
Nearly all the children’s books deal with homosexual couples, single parents or adopted children. There are no “Snow White,” “Cinderella” or other classic fairy tales seen as cementing stereotypes.
I am sick of them. Cannot comment at this time. Would not be wise.
All we can do id do all we can. Raise our children and grandchildren right. Preach the gospel to a dying nation/world. That doesn’t mean that all will listen. Straight is the way and narrow is the gate and few there be that find it. We must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling.
We are responsible for ourselves and what we teach others. The stage has been set for the return of the Lord. I don’t see much changing in the world. I only see the imminent return of Jesus. I believe the world is finally corrupt enough to warrant His appearance. Do the best you can do and hold onto your hats. and hold tight to Jesus. He is at the door!
Purposely deprived of gender-biased toys, boys and girls will still turn any old sticks available into guns and dolls respectively. Stop it, left/libtards; being male or female isn’t a lifestyle choice.
I’ve seen proof of what Anonymous said. My sister gave her children Legos. She figured that would be safe. Her little girls made kitchens and visited, while her little boys made guns and played war. Of course, part of the problem is that many of these people insanely believe that children come as blank slates. They are dismissing God from the equation. If there is no God, then people don’t have souls. A soulless society is empty, but nature hates a vacuum. And the adversary rushes in. They are calling good evil and evil good, and that never ends well, for anyone.
So for what I understood, children must be raised not based on heterosexual relationships, but based on homosexual relationships. We raise our children out of stereotypes, so they can become gays, lesbian and transgenders more easily, without trauma… What about the trauma it might cause on the heterosexuals? Now you may say its pure conspiracy theory, and I’m OK with it, because it just crossed my mind, but what if this is part of the eugenics plan, and control of natality? What if its a social engineering idea to try and confuse kids into accepting other sexual roles. I can accept that some people might be born homosexual, transgender or whatever, but maybe, this is a plan to get those who are not, but are susceptible to try new things, into believing they are homosexuals, transgenders and so on… what do you think about this???

We are, each of us, wondrously made in the image of God, male and female. There is a continuum, to be sure, along which our sexual expressions might be measured, just as there are some little girls that are tomboys and some little boys like to play with dolls and such. Do those behaviors govern later sexual interactions? Not likely.
At most, those that could claim to be “born that way” amount to between 1 and 2 percent of the population. As for who’s running the show, you can do the maths. Siegfried, if you think the article is creepy, think for a moment upon the use of slanted journalism that has taken place in the past two decades alone, all in the identity of “dispassionate” and “objective” journalism, that is nothing but lobbying by news organizations. We do not have an independent press, nor do we have an independent entertainment industry that provides for the entirety of the body politic. Everything is slanted, and much more than along a simple left-right paradigm.
Is this really happening? The world has finally gone bonkers!
