Racist NAACP Calls TEA Parties Racist

On Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at its annual convention in Kansas City, the socialist National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAAP) adopted a resolution condemning “racist elements” in the TEA Party movement who are pushing “our country back to the pre-civil rights era.”

Among the charges lodged against the TEA Party movement in the resolution:

• TEA Party supporters have engaged in “explicitly racist behavior” and “displayed signs and posters intended to degrade people of color generally and President Barack Obama specifically.”
• TEA Party activists have used racial epithets, have verbally and physically abused black members of Congress and others, and have been charged with threatening public officials.

Of course, the NAACP didn’t let actual facts get in their way as there is zero evidence that TEA Party activists have used racial epithets against black members of Congress.

The Rev. C.L. Bryant, a former president of NAACP’s Garland, Texas, chapter who is now a leading TEA Party activist said the idea that the Tea Party is racist or is trying to instigate a racist climate is “simply a lie.“ Bryant, who serves as a contributor to FreedomWorks, which organizes TEA Party groups, told ABC News,

“I have seen posters…where every president from Reagan to Obama has been called a fascist. Why is it that just because we have a black president, we are hyper-sensitive to posters at rallies? The NAACP wants to create a climate where they can say that those on the right are in fact racist and those on the left are their saviors. This is very much what the liberal agenda is about.”

What is even more curious is the fact that the NAACP, while accusing TEA Partiers of racism, has not condemned the REAL racism of the New Black Panthers (NNP), whose leadership calls for the killing of all whites (“crakkers”) and their babies:

Not only is the NAACP not in the least concerned about the virulently racist Black Panthers, this so-called civil rights organization actually has lobbied the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) to dismiss the 2008 Panthers voter intimidation case.

Quin Hillyer of the Washington Times reports on July 14, 2010 that ”Kristen Clarke, director of political participation at the NAACP Legal Defense Fund in Washington…confirmed to The Times that she talked about the case with lawyers at the Justice Department and shared copies of the complaint with several persons.”

Appearing before the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights on July 6, J. Christian Adams, the chief DOJ attorney who built the case against the Black Panthers, was asked whether during the decision making process about the Panther case, he had heard  of anyone at the DOJ who was consulting with outside groups such as the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.

Adams replied in the affirmative. He testified that the DOJ indeed consulted with outside groups such as the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League, due to the Black Panthers being “not just black nationalists,” but are ”militant” and “anti-Semitic.” Then Adams said:

“I was told by section management that NAACP members or staffers were talking with the Voting section attorney in March of 2009 and asking, ‘When is this case going to get dismissed’ which, of course, is interesting to hear for the first time that someone’s even thinking about dismissing the case that you’re in the middle of building…. It seemed strange…a really strange request.”

Then Adams was asked specifically about a reported conversation between Laura Coates, a line attorney in the DOJ’s Voting section, and Kristen Clark of the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. 

Adams confirmed that the conversation did take place and that Clark had requested that the case against the Black Panthers be dismissed.

The NAACP is nothing but a hypocritical self-serving black racist organization. That the MSM still pays attention and gives credibility to this racist group further strips the media of their pretense to objectivity and truth.
