The actress who plays Padma Patil in the Harry Potter movies, 22-year-old Afshan Azad, was physically attacked by her Muslim older brother and also had her life threatened by him and their father for dating a Hindu man. Azad fled her home and is being sheltered by friends in London.

The strict Muslim father and brother of “Harry Potter” actress Afshan Azad have been charged with threatening to kill her because she has a boyfriend.
Azad, 22, fled the suburban English home she shared with her father, Abdul, 54, mother, Nilofar, and three brothers after the bizarre incident on May 21, authorities said. A spokesman for prosecutors said her brother Ashraf, 28, physically attacked her and both he and their father threatened to kill her because of her relationship with an unidentified Hindu man. They confronted her in her bedroom and left her “badly bruised” when she refused to stop seeing the man, the Daily Express said.
Afshan, who appeared in four Potter movies is believed to have taken refuge at the London home of friends.
Both of the accused men appeared in Manchester Magistrates’ Court and were ordered not to travel to London while the case was adjourned until July 12. Their bail conditions also required them to observe a curfew of 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. and not to contact an unnamed man, believed to be the boyfriend. No other details of the incident were disclosed.
But Ashraf told the Daily Telegraph that the family will suffer as a result of the scandal. ”We are going to get trouble from the community now,” he said. “It is bad news for our safety, her safety. Her career could be ruined. When she goes to a premiere or something, they are going to ask her about this, not the film. My younger brother is going to get harassed at college. All our family is going to be harassed by the community because of this.”
Afshan, who had never acted before, was a student in Manchester in 2005 when she auditioned as a “laugh” for the film “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.” She won the role of Padma Patil, one of Harry’s witch classmates and later his girlfriend. She appeared again as Padma, the twin of Parvati Patil, who is played by 22-year-old Shefali Chodhury, in three more films and will appear in the final installment, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows,” next year.
As long as governments ( and many European governments do) continue to make excuses for this culture of death; and not prosecute them to the fullest, under the host country laws, these men will continue to mutilate, rape, and murder their women. This is engrained behavior and they feel justified.. THEY ARE NOT. let’s make that clear.. BUT the establishment academia, press, and governments continuously make allowances. IT’S GOT TO STOP! For if they have their way, by 2030, they will also be doing it to your daughters, sisters, wives and mothers, and aunts under Sharia law.
It does appear the Muslim religion is just a little strange when it comes to us infidels. Someone suggested on the blog the other day that the Muslim religion could be the Anti Christ. It certainly is Anti everything in the world. Maybe God should have started them a colony on Mars and saved us a great deal of trouble.
The Anti Christ? I don’t know about that. Any religion that advocates killing people certainly does not come from God. No god could call him or herself a god and advocate killing those who will not bend the knee.
God can only have unconditional love for His entire creation, otherwise he is no better than humans. A god who shows the emotion of hatred is evil. A god who destroys anything in the created universe for the purpose of example is evil. Anyone who believes they are going to get 72 virgins for being a good and faithful servant is beneath the ignorance of a pigeon.

Perhaps, but our society is a product of at least the late-17th Century if not the 21st. Medieval-anything is not something we can have imposed upon us and hope to advance or even maintain our way of life. (You have noticed all the modern products and technology enjoyed, and even weapons such as the AK47 used, by Islamic societies were designed and produced somewhere else, right?)

Since Wiki is not considered a reliable source for most college papers, I would not put too much stock in anything written on their pages.
I did not read the articles because I do not use them as a source of reference.
The only thing I can see from the Muslim religion is Dark Age Philosophy. Anything they might have invented is inconsequential with respect to modern science.
The religion was founded on a murdering rapist, who propagated the demise of Jews and infidels. That makes him a bad guy. I do not know what voices he heard in his head but I do know if I heard voices in my head I would quickly go see a Psychiatrist. I would not believe the voices came from any god and I would not manufacture a god to justify my murder, rape, and plunder of other cultures.
This so-called religion is not coming from any good god.

(The Quran actually has a chapter called “The Spoils” in which Allah lets everyone know that Muhammed gets the lion’s share of the booty, first pick of everything …Allah was always very, very considerate of Muhammed’s needs, desires, lusts, whims…but I digress…) Part of the booty was some human booty. Ya see, when you kill all the men, you’re left with a large group of women. Do you think these ladies wanted to be wives or concubines (concubine is a nice word for household servant/sex slave) for Muhammed and his men, who had just murdered their husbands, fathers and brothers? Do you think they were allowed to “just say no” without consequences (like death or slavery?) What happened to these women was something I would call rape, as would civilized people in general.
Oh…but to a Muslim, rape is almost a nonexistent act. Did you know that in Islam, to prove rape, there must be 4 witnesses! Four! Four people (men) or 8 women (a woman’s legal testimony is worth half that of a man, according to the Quran.) How often do you think there are all these witnesses to a rape? Right. As I said, there really is no practical way to prove rape in Islam. Interesting religion, isn’t it?

We have a great thread going here regarding Islam. And since we’re on the subject, I am going to take the opportunity to encourage you all to read the book “Eurabia” written by Bat Ye’Or. It’s available in paper back and hard back in most book stores. This book explains a LOT!
Just for instance, Hitler and the Islamic world had an alliance beginning before WWII, which carried on throughout the war. After the war around 2,000 ex Nazis escaped to Egypt and Jordan and other countries in the middle east, changed their names to Arabic ones, and together, they and the Islamic world have fomented continuous propaganda against Israel and the United States. The details in this book are stunning! This book sheds a lot of light on things that I wondered about, and I think you wil enjoy it.. It is extreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeemely interesting.
Yup. Hitler is still a best-seller author in the Islamic world. The title of his book actually means Mein Jihad (yes, Kampf = Struggle = Jihad). Interesting, no?

Nice to have Sarkozy in there now, he’s less of an anti semite than the past presidents of France. I’ve not read anything by her but I have heard of her. My Knowledge of the East is confined to Bible studies, and college history. I have never had any real interests in the Islamic world because their beliefs are alien to mine and their methods of proselytizing is alien to my Christian values. Mind you, I know all about the Crusades and I offer no approval of their methods nor do I apologize for their behavior.
However, the Christians of the new century, had their reasons for their behavior as do the Muslims. I find religions a little short sighted when it comes to an all-loving God. Many religions operate out of hatred for other religions and many others simply use people and their superstitions as a method of increasing their wealth. As a biblical theorist, I find most of the modern day religions disgusting; that definitely includes the Muslim religion and puts them at the top of the list of reprehensible organizations.
I was a Muslim for many years, a convert, and I studied my chosen religion passionately. What I discovered was so horrifying that I could no longer defend Islam.
Steve, no one has “hijacked” the Muslim religion. Jihadist terrorists are following in the footsteps of Muhammed. Except for committing suicide, they are excellent examples of devout Muslims.
You know all the awful stuff you hear about Islam, the things so many refuse to believe? Figure it’s about 99% true and you won’t be far off the mark.
And for all the appeasers holding out the hand of friendship, don’t be shocked when a smiling Muslim takes everything in that hand, then whacks it off! And scorns you for your “gentill” hearted weakness.
Just a little dose of reality from one who has lived in both worlds: Westerners, to Islam, you are living in”the house of war.” The Muslim countries are “the house of peace.” Why do you think Muslims flock to this “house of war”? Most often, it’s to fight – or support others who fight. Take a look at a few Muslim nations. Do you want to live like that? Then, by all means, embrace the Muslim community at once. Cuddle up to the crocodile.
