Calif Dem Congressman Mocks Minutemen

In a recent townhall meeting, 79-year-old Democrat Socialist Congressman Pete Stark (California’s 13th District in the benighted S.F. Bay Area), the first openly atheist member of Congress, demonizes and makes fun of the Minutemen as “killers.” 

The Minutemen are unarmed American citizens who volunteer to watch America’s border with Mexico. The Minuteman Project is an activist organization founded in April 2005 by private citizens as “a citizens’ Neighborhood Watch on our border” to monitor the flow of illegal immigrants. In 2005, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger praised the Minuteman Project. He said the group was doing “a terrific job” and welcomed them to patrol the border between California and Mexico. “teams of select men from the American colonial militia during the American Revolutionary War. They provided a highly mobile, rapidly deployed force that allowed the colonies to respond immediately to war threats, hence the name. The minutemen were among the first people to fight in the American Revolution. Their teams constituted about a quarter of the entire militia. Generally younger and more mobile, they served as part of a network for early response. Minuteman and Sons of Liberty member Paul Revere was among those who spread the news that the British Regulars (soldiers) were coming out.” [Wikipedia]

Stark also told lie after lie:

• He declared “the border is secure.” That is a lie. The Obama administration has put up signs in three counties in Southern Arizona, warning American citizens to stay away because thousands of acres there are no longer safe due to armed Mexican drug lords.
• He said illegals are deported. That is a lie. On the contrary, San Francisco and other “sanctuary cities” do exactly the opposite.
• He said illegals have a low crime rate. That is a lie. A comprehensive study released late last year from the Center for Immigration Studies cited federal law enforcement data showing that illegal immigrants made up a disproportionate share of the state prison populations in California and Arizona. Bravo to the citizens at the townhall meeting who stood up to this arrogant POS!

The best comes at the end of this video when a young man named Chris Pareja (who’s running as an Independent for the 13th District) stood up and said this to Stark:

“In 1972, when you were running against Congressman George Miller, you said that he had served 28 years and that was too long. You now have served 37 years in Congress, and you have the 5th worst voting/attendance record in this session. My question is about your plans for retirement.”

It's long past time to put sick old Stark out to pasture

Stark’s reply: “I have no plans.”
